Chapter 1 : Late at night

It was a normal day, at Hogwarts. Students came back after 2 months of vacations, talking about the next quidditch game and what was gonna be this new year, and Voldemort's came back, and Sirius Black being innocent, and muggleborns murders.... Like is said, a normal day at Hogwarts. Some first years in slytherin, majority in hufflepuf, few in ravenclaw, and a lot in gryffindor. Then, Dumbledore clamed everyone' attention.

- Attention please ! Everyone. Today, a girl from Beauxbatons was transfered into Hogwarts for her sixth year. I'm asking you not to disturb her or laugh at her. i know how teenagers are, this days. Anyway, Welcome to Cassandra Malfoy !

And as she come into the great hall, everyone shut up.

A total Malfoy : Blond hair, dark eyes.
No one ever heard about her before.
She sat with the sorted hat on her head, waiting to go on her new house.

- A Malfoy hm ? You should be put in Slytherin but i guess your personality is more... GRYFFINDOR !

Everyone stared at her weirdly. A Malfoy ? In gryffindor ?
But the most important person for her in the great hall wasn't looking at her. In fact, Draco's look was fixed on his pudding. He couldn't believe she came back. Why ? Why now ?

In Gryffindor' commun room, everyone were taking about Cassandra.
- It's a Malfoy ! She can't be fucking trusted !
- She's been put in Gryffindor !
- Still !
- Yeah maybe i guess we'll see.
- No one ever heard of her before right ?
They all shut down when she suddenly appear in the room.
She broke the silence.
- Wanna blame me for what my blood did ? Well, you can all suck it !
They saw her take the way to girls' dormitory.
- One is for sure, she really is a Malfoy.

After talking a little more, they all went to bed.

- How dare you, Cassandra, leading Draco into your filthy little weird parties !
- I wanted to !

- Yes i did Cassie. Punish me if you want, father, but i'm the one who asked her.

the tears blurred out her vision as she saw her brother writhing on the floor.
- Draco !!!!

She woke up. 3am. Nightmares, insomnia, that was her routine. But now she just couldn't talk to anyone. She decided to go into the commun room, hopping no one was here. She sat on the sofa, trying to not think about anything when someone interrupt her.
- What are you doing here ?
- Harry Potter. Of course. What are you doing here ?
Harry had a butterbear and a hot chocolate.
- Why should i trust you ?
- Oh god no don't trust anyone, you'll end up dead !
- I couldn't sleep.
- Insomnia ?
- What about you ?
- Insomnia.
- Why are you telling me ?
- 'cause you seem nice.
- You're a Malfoy.
- Same blood, not ideas.
- do you want chocolate ?
- Thanks.
They stayed in silent for few minutes. Cassandra broke it :
- What was your nightmare ?
- Who said this was a nightmare ?
- I have the same look on my face every night.
She didn't know what pushed her to tell him that. There's something in him that she finds reconforting, sweet.
- Voldemort.
- Ow come on, this bitch doesn't even have a nose !
He looked at her weirdly while she drank her chocolate.
- Like i said, same blood, not ideas.
- So...you don't want to kill me ?
- Nope.
- Thanks. Now, what about your nightmares ?
- It's not exactly nightmares, more like...memories. When i was younger.
- Sorry.
- Not your fault. Anyway, what was your nightmare about ?
- Well it's because of my scar, y'know. There's a connection between Voldemort and I. I can see what he's doing at the same time.
- Like legilimens ?
- Kind of. So he was torturing people and Lucius was there and...
- Lucius ? What did he say ?
- Just watching.
- Useless, as always.
silence started again. This time it was Harry who broke it.
- Why are you like this ?
- Like what ?
- Like you're not a Malfoy.
She stayed quite a little while before answering.
- There's something you need to know about me and Draco, Harry Potter. We didn't have a choice. None of us. I was just more of the rebel kind, without mentionning that i don't give a single shit about anything. I guess i'm just... more like Sirius.
- You knew him ?
- Yes.
They stayed on the sofa, talking about food, quidditch, Beauxbatons, muggle stuff, cars... until they fell asleep.

- Harry ! Harry wake up. Harry fucking Potter !
- What ?
- Wake up, we're gonna be late for DADA !
- Where's Cassandra ?
- Malfoy 2.0 ? Don't know she wasn't in her bed when i woke up. Why ?
- No reason...
Why did she leave him there ? He thought they were at least close enough to not sneaking around.. That's when he saw a note for him .
- Hey Hermione, you can go i'll join you in a minute.
- Fine ?
She ran to go in class while Harry took the note.

Harry,
Sorry about not being here when you wake up, but i got shits to do.
And what about your friends if they find you sleeping with the sister of your Nemesis.

He run like hell to go to the dungeons.

- You're Late Mr. Potter. Again. 30 points from gryffindor. Does someone know where's Mr. Malfoy ? Mrs. Mafoy maybe ?
- What about leaving my brother alone ?
- Maybe you think you were a princess at Beauxbatons but we're not in France and it's Hogwarts so show me a little respect.

- At least Draco wasn't such arrogant. 50 points from gryffindor. Today you're gonna learn about Inferis. Someone ?
Two hands stood up. Hermione and Cassandra.
- Malfoy ?
- An inferis a dead body, reanimated by a Dark Wizard, similar but intrinsically distinct from a zombie. They are created through the magical branch of Dark Arts called Necromancy.
- Right. Hum if you face on of those creatures what shall you do ? No one ?
