"Welcome to Starbucks!" I said cheerfully, taking customer's orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. I only had a little less than an hour before my shift ended so I made the best of it and make the customers happy. "What can I get you this afternoon?" I ask the little old lady who's standing in front of me, sweetly. "Cappuccino, please." She said back to me with a smile. "Yes Ma'am, coming right up!" I said kindly as she handed me the correct amount of cash for her drink, and moved to the end of the counter. As I looked up from closing the cash register, I'm greeted with a pair of gorgeous hazel eyes and a mop of messy curly brown hair, wrapped in a red bandana. I'm struck speechless. This guy was absolutely gorgeous. I smiled and tried to regain my composure. I cleared my throat softly and looked up at him. "Good afternoon, sir. What can I get you?" I asked nervously. "Hmm.... I'm not sure really. What's the best Frappe on the menu in your opinion?" He asked glancing down at my name tag. "Kaci. Is it? The brown haired boy asked me, smirking. "Definitely the Caramel frappe but that's just me." I said giggling. "Alright. That's what I'll get then." He said still smirking. I couldn't help but smile at him. He was just too damn good looking. "Alright then, what size would you like?" I asked him, smiling. "Definitely, a venti." He said leaning onto the counter closer to me. I grabbed a venti cup and the marker. "What's the name?" I asked smiling up at him. "Ashton." He said smiling and biting his lip. "Mm... Ashton... I like it." I said smiling sweetly handing his cup over to the barista, to make his drink. "That's going to be 5.25," I said biting my lip. Silently thanking my lucky stars that he was the only one in the line. He smiled and nodded handing me a 10 dollar bill. "There you go." I said sweetly, handing him back his change. "Thank you, beautiful." He said smiling sweetly at me. I blushed and smiled looking down at my hands. "Kaci!" I heard my boss Ken, yell. "Yes, Sir?" I asked. "Your shifts over. You can go." I nodded and untied my apron. "Thank you," I said and made myself a quick drink and walked to the break room to grab my stuff. "Ashton?" the barista called out, as he walked over to the counter and held his finger up signaling that it was his drink, And he thanked them. I walked out of the break room and went straight to the door, starting my journey home. "Kaci, wait up!" I hear a voice call out to me and I turn around, seeing Ashton running with his drink in his hand, running up to me. I giggled and waited for him. "Yes?" I asked, giggling. "Mind if I join you?" Ashton asked sipping his drink. "No, not at all!" I said smiling and drinking a sip of my drink as well. "Great then." He said as he started walking towards my house. "Sooo..." I said looking up at him. "Soooo..." he said smiling. "Why'd you want to walk with me, of all people?" I asked him genuinely curious. He smiled and shrugged. "I just thought you were sweet and I wanted to get to know you. I just moved here and you were the first I met that didn't stick their nose up at me." He said smiling down at me. "Aww... Ashton that's sweet. I would never do that to someone. That's extremely rude for anyone to do." I told him smiling. "Thanks, Kaci." He replied. "You're most welcome Ashton." I smiled. "So Kaci, tell me about yourself..." Ashton said once again taking a sip of his drink. "Well my full name is Kaci Mae, I'm 19, and I've lived here in Jacksonville my whole life." I said smiling. "That is a really gorgeous name...." Ashton said smiling wide. "Thank You!" I said blushing. "So what about you?" I asked trying to make myself stop blushing. He chuckled and smiled. "Well my name is Ashton Fletcher Irwin, I'm 19 and I just moved here from Australia, as if you couldn't guess considering my accent." He said pointing to his throat. I couldn't help but giggle at how cute he was being. "That's cute..." I giggled before I thought about what I said. "I mean..." I stuttered. Ashton chuckled and shook his head. "It's fine Kaci... You're pretty cute too." He said biting his lip and he nudged his shoulder with mine. I giggled and looked up, noticing I was already at my house. "Thanks.... Well, this is my stop. Thank you for walking me home." I said smiling up at him. "It was my pleasure, Kaci." He said slightly bowing as I giggled. "Oh stop." I said laughing. "Kaci, do you have any plans tonight?" Ashton asked me biting his lip. God, he's so freaking attractive.... "Nope, none. Why do you ask?" I ask slipping my bag further up on my shoulder. "Well, I was hoping we could go out. I really want to get to know you more...." He said looking like he was nervous. "Are you asking me out on a date Ashton Irwin?" I asked raising my eyebrow. "Yes, Kaci Grace, I am." He joked along with me. "Hmm... I'll have to ask my boyfriend how he'd feel about that." I joked. "What? Boyfriend?" Ashton started to panic. "I'm Kidding, Ash!" I said laughing. I know we had just met but it felt as if we'd known each other forever. "Oh..." Ashton said shaking his head. "Yes, I'll go out with you tonight, Ash." I said giggling. "Good... Can I see your phone?" Ashton asked. Why would he want my phone....? Oh... duh. He wants to swap numbers, Idiot. I grabbed my phone out of my back pocket. "Sure..." I said handing him my iPhone 6s. He typed into my phone and I heard his phone ding as he smiled and handed me back my phone. "I'll text you..." Ashton said winking as he turned away. "Okay... bye, Ash..." I said smiling. "Bye, Kaci..." He said before turning and walking away. God... tonight is gonna be amazing.
