-Scarlet Knight-

"The Storm Strikes Again." I read out loud the headline of the New York Times as my twin sister, Raven sits there in her armchair with her combat boot resting on the pages.

"What is with all of this Storm crap?" Raven says in between sips of her coffee.

I roll my eyes. Raven is who the world is calling this name.

"Maybe it's because every time she fights a storm is brewing...Or the fact that she can shoot oh I don't know, lightning out of her hands?"

Raven ignores the second part of my statement and after setting her mug down on the table besides her, rubs her knuckles against her forehead.
I know the look on her face means that a storm is fast approaching.

"Why is it that they all think that every storm is because of her? Next hurricane comes around and they'll say, 'Oh Storm just had a freaking hissy fit'. Seriously!"

I scoff. Raven refuses to say the f word because our mom raised her with the belief that every time she says that word something bad will happen.

And right then Lightning lights up the windows. I glare at Raven, who in return sighs.

"What'ca glaring at me for? It's not like I'm happy about the storm either!"

I lean back on the couch and cross my arms. And that's the moment that our mother chooses to walk inot the room holding a magazine.

"Scarlet stop glaring at your sister." Our mother, Amanda says to me, not even looking up.

"How'd you know I was?"

Amanda looks up and smiles, "You just admitted it sweetie."

I face palm and Raven chuckles.

"Scarlet, have you told your sister the news?"

Raven is instantly alert.

"Oh yeah. Raven, we're moving."

Raven runs a hand through her long jet black hair, sighing, "Where to this time?"

Amanda answers for me, "Washington."

"Please tell me its a big city with lots of buildings."

I roll my eyes and scoff, "That you can climb? Yeah right."

Raven's eyes flash a storm blue for a moment before she calms herself down.
How she does, I will never know.

"Sorry sweetie, we're moving to Forks."

"And by those words, its a small town isn't it?"

Both Amanda and I nod.

Raven drops her head into her hands, "Of course it is. Your trying to contain my abilities, both of you are ashamed of who I am."

She mutters loud enough for us to hear and rushes off to her room.

Sighing I stand up walking calmly to my own room.

I hear glass shattering and I say outloud, "There goes another mirror."

----------------------------A week later-------------------------

-Raven Knight-

I was nervous as we walk through the Port Angeles airport. I rarely leave New York and I am used to only leaving my room for school and for my nocturnal job.

So can you imagine what such a jump is doing to me?

Scarlet slings her arm over my shoulder as we walk slightly behind Amanda.

"So, Raven, I've been thinking."

I crack a smile.

"That's what smells smoky."

Scarlet slaps my arm, and I snicker.

"Anyways, to control your ahem, abilities, we should go into the forest soon."

It's official. She's lost it.

"What for?"

Scarlet makes an annoyed face even though i can tell that she isn't.

"Do I really have to spell it out for you?"

I snicker and reply, "So basically I will be the cause of ninety percent of Forks' tree destruction?"

I had discovered back in New York during a trip to a national forest, that when I get angry around trees... Yeah go figure.

My eyes scan the Airport level as per my habit. When you have lived in New York for a couple years you learn to make sure there is no danger around. At least if your smart you do. And when you are a vigilante named Storm you really need to.

My eyes land on two men. What is so different about them?
Well, for one they are extremely pale. Like they have never seen the sun before.

And for two, one of them seems to be in pain. And three? They are so beautiful. Like freaking gorgeous.

When I look down I see my crystal necklace flash pink. That's not a good sign. It means that my eyes have changed colors as well.

Come on, change back.

The burning in my eyes that I feel whenever they change colors recedes. I just have to hope that no one saw that.

Glancing back up, I find that the two men are walking to the entrance with a girl in between them.

And for some reason I get the sense that something is wrong with her.

Funny this only happens when I am around...Pregnant women.

I roll my eyes.  She's too young. Clearly she has no self respect.

I turn my attention back to my small family.

My mom is chatting away with Scarlet ahead of me before she turns back around and whispers just loud enough for me to hear, "Raven, sweetie, don't forget to take your medicine."

This is our code, since yes, my mother knows about my powers and me being Storm. She's telling me that she wants me to be alert.

Let me explain something beforehand.
My mother is a strong empath, which means that she can sense others emotions and can also sense danger.

My sister is one as well, but slightly different. Scarlet has the ability to switch her personalities into a badass chick that one should be scared of. That side of Scarlet we call Sage.

Me? I did receive the powers from my mother but when I was struck by lightning, similar to the Flash,  I was given the powers I have now.

"Let's get going."

And that's when my adventures in Forks begin.
