"Maybe, if you weren't so different, we would treat you the same!" The silhouette of a large hand could be seen in the dim light coming in from a nearby window. In the room, a young boy shied away nervously at the hand, only to feel a sharp sting on his small body.

Sweat soaked the sheets of Marcel's bed. Wind encircled the house, shifting the wood and causing a soft creak to fill the silence of the warm summer night. Marcel began to slow his breathing, but continued to have a death grip on the linen.

"It was only a dream," He murmured, lifting his hand to his face and removing the beads of perspiration on his forehead. The young male shut his eyes once more and tucked himself beneath the covers.

A loud pang of thunder startled Marcel, causing him to jolt out of bed. It was raining pretty hard. Huge puddles covered the vast streets in front of the house, and no birds sang. Marcel squinted his eyes and reached around on his night table for his glasses. With his vision now cleared, Marcel lifted himself out of bed and began preparing himself for another day of high school.

"Marcel," A voice called from downstairs. He cringed at the call of his name, but fixed the collar of his shirt and slowly forced himself into the kitchen.

"G-Good morning," He stammered, sitting down at the table and letting his hand hang. He got a snide remark from his mother in return. A silent sigh flowed from his lips. Marcel decided not to eat anything that morning, before grabbing his school books and walking out the door.

Rain feel quickly and steadily. Marcel used his books as a cover, but they didn't make much of a difference. Lucky for him, his bus was early today. The large yellow machine came roaring around the corner and Marcel quickly boarded and took his recurrent seat in the front.

The ride to school was, as always, short and vexatious. Troubled teens ran left and right along the campus, yelling and gossiping, crying and laughing. Marcel, however, slowly walked by himself in the middle of all the caos.

"Hey, loser!" Someone called. Marcel knew it was directed at him; it was Jake. Hesitent, he stopped in his tracks and clenched his eyes shut.

"Yeah?" He whispered, still looking down. There was a sudden silence in the crowd and Marcel looked around discreetly.

"Where do you think you're going?" Marcel gave him a confused look before speaking up.

"I don't know, class maybe? You should try it sometime." Marcel chuckled silently as he began to walk away. He could hear quiet snickers in the crowd of teenagers as well, and he gave a smile as he passed them by.

It was so sudden; before Marcel knew it, his new shirt was clenched in Jake's fist.

"What did you say to me?" He growled. Marcel suddered as he basically hung above the ground, the crowd now larger then it was before. He fumbled with is words, not sure what to say.

"I-I-" Marcel was interupted by a higher pitch voice in the middle of all of the students.

"Marcel!"
