I entered the gym's girls changing room, a lot of girls were already there, changing into their PE uniform. I went to my locker and unlocked it. I changed into the red shorts and white tank top that we always had to wear during PE. I put up my hair in a high pony tail, wrapping the loose hairs with bobby pins.

"Bella!" Amanda pulled me into a hug.

"Whoa, why so happy?" I was a little surprised about her giving me a hug.

"Can I tell you a secret?" Amanda took a look at the girls around us.

"Uh, sure," what's up with this girl?

"I like Henry and...well, he asked me out on a date," she whispered.

I smiled.

"I had a feeling you liked him," it was my turn to hug her ,"Now that we're confessing our secrets. I like Shaun's brother," I whispered the last sentence.

"I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOU LIKED HIM! WE HAVE TO TELL HIM NOW!" Amanda screeched and soon was on her way towards the door.

"We can't tell him now! I promise to tell him when I'm ready!" I said, trying to pull a crazy friend back wasn't easy, especially when she's determined to tell the bad boy you like him.

"Promise?" her eyes lighted up with happiness.

"Yes, I promise," I nodded. Anything so she won't tell him, but I know that someway I had to tell Blake about the feelings that I had for him. Those feelings that made me smile whenever I thought about him or heard his voice, the ones that sent a crazy feeling to my stomach of a mixture of butterflies and rainbows.

I have rainbows in my stomach how wonderful.

"Yay!" Amanda clapped her hands like a little girl.

"Let's go outside," I said before heading out of the changing room.

The gym was just down the hallway, not far from where we were. We found Matthew waiting for us outside the gym's doors.

"Hey girls! I heard the news, about you and Henry," Matt grinned, held the doors open for us, and we happily walked walked in, until Amanda frowned.

"Who told you?" she asked in a rush.

"He did, I meet him at my locker and he looked so happy. He told me he likes you, do you like him?" Matt was still grinning, maybe because he already knew the answer by looking at Amanda's big smile.

"A lot," she nodded.

"Then you guys should be dating in less than 3 days," he stated.

"I'm so happy for you!" I hugged her again, and she hugged me back.

"Thank you!" she yelled in my ear.

Okay, I'm deaf now.

"Alright everybody! Today feels like such a nice day that I'm going to give you free time," Mr. Rogers announced from his chair. Everybody cheered, I had to agree with this bro, it did feel like a nice day, but I had a feeling something totally not happy was going to happen, but I sure didn't want to find out.

"What do you guys wanna play?" Amanda asked.

"Soccer!" Matt yelled, reaching for a soccer ball. We watched him do some tricks, that I was never going to be able to do.

"How do you do that?" Amanda gaped at him in amazement, I bet I had the same look as her.

"Easy," he replied, doing more tricks.

"Hey guys I have to leave for a moment! Uh...Matthew you're in charge. I'll be back soon guys!" Mr. Rogers stood up from his chair and walked out of the gym, nobody seemed to know where he was going. Exactly when the door was closed, a bunch of yelling that came form the guys side was heard. You see in our school we sometimes got free time, and the gym is somehow divided into two sides, one side for the boys and the other from the girls. Me and my friends hanged out at the middle.

"Are you fucking kidding me Cade!? I thought we made a deal," okay that voice I would recognize anywhere.

"We did, but that was months ago! But it's been so long Blake! I'm going to be with her whether you like it or not!" Cade sounds very angry.

We made our way through the crowd, Matt was in front on me, and Amanda was following behind.

"What the hell is going on between you two!?" Matt looked angry as well.

We present to you a brand new game: Angry Boys.

"You know why we're fighting, you were one of the first ones to know!" Cade yelled, Blake was obviously aware of the fact I was here. Wait, what did Matt know? He knows something that we don't supposed to know, and of course he never told us. Guy secrets always made me curious.

"Yes I know, but seriously why now?" Matt asked calmly.

"Because I'm going to get her to be my girlfriend no matter what. And Blake of course had to get jealous about it," the boys seemed a little bit calmer now, expect for Blake, I knew exactly he was trying really hard not to punch him, but others didn't noticed that.

"Maybe because she's mine, and I'm not letting you get near her," his words just made my heart break even more, even if that's possible.

He likes a girl, he likes her a lot.

"Watch me," Cade wasn't thinking before speaking, and that wasn't a smart thing to do. He was challenging Blake. Cade turned around to face Matt, I was holding Matthew's hand since a while ago and standing behind him, seeing the two best friends fight was horrible, and hearing those words that Blake said were just so-

"I'm not going to watch you Cade," Blake put his hand on Cade's shoulder, without thinking Cade punched Blake.

Blake didn't fall, he back away a little and stared at Cade.

"Oh hell no Jackson," Blake punched Cade, the two of them didn't waste time to start a fight, Cade did fall to the ground, but jumped up instantly to punch him back. Throwing punches at each other, that's all that I could see, I blinked that's when I realized the tears.

"Matt do something!" Amanda yelled sounding desperate for the boys to stop fighting. Matt let go of my hand and went over to stop the two boys, only to get hit in the face.

"Fuck," he groaned.

"Matt!" Amanda and I screamed in unison and ran to help our friend, who was laying on the floor holding his nose.

"WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!?" everybody's head was turned to look at our teacher.

The room went silent, I wiped away the tears and took a look at Blake. He had his upper lip bleeding, a bruise starting to form at his cheek, even with that he looked handsome like before. Cade looked worse than him, his lip was bleeding too, his nose, his eyebrow, the sight of him didn't make me angry at Blake, he threw the first punch so it was his fault. He knows that Blake would never back out from a fight no matter where or why.

"The three of you, the nurse now. After that the two of you will go to the office, can you girls take Matt? I don't think he can walk," Mr. Rogers talked in a calm voice, which was surprising for many of us, he would usually be yelling at everybody for the rest of the day.

Me ad Amanda nodded our heads, helping Matthew up, throwing each of his arm around our shoulders.

"Make sure they don't start another fight," the teacher warned.

On our way to the nurse it was total silence, but Matt would usually complain about his nose. The bleeding boys didn't talk or look at each other, they didn't talk to anybody really.

Blake held the door open for us.

"Thanks," I mumbled.

The nurse looked surprised when she saw the three boys.

"Let me guess, a fight," she said turning around to grab alcohol and bandages.

We helped Matt to sit down on the chair in the middle, because we knew the boys couldn't be together. Each boy sat on either side of Matt.

"Sorry," Blake whispered patting Matthew's arm.

"It's fine," Matt nodded.

I sat in the opposite of the boys, Amanda sat next to me. I pulled my knees to my chest and looked at Blake, I could care less if others noticed I was looking at him. I cared about him, and I still do. We just sat there staring at each other, you have no idea how much I like his eyes. They were icy blue, but whenever he smirked they would light up and turn into a even lighter tone of blue. That's why I loved his smirk so much.

The nurse went to the boy to check on them and clean up their wounds. She gave a bag of ice to Matt so he could put it in his head, because when he got punched, not only he got his nose broken, the impact that his head got when he hit the floor wasn't too strong, but strong enough to make him dizzy and confused.

"How's your head Matt?" Amanda asked.

"It hurts, but it's better," Matt had his eyes closed.

"I'm sorry, man. Getting in front of me when I'm about to throw a punch it's not good," Blake answered with a half smile. That half smile is new, but I loved it. He has a cute half smile.

"Don't worry I learned my lesson," Matt chuckled.

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have reacts like that, I just didn't know what else to do and-" Cade started, but Blake cut him off.

"It's alright, I know. It's me who shouldn't have punch you back," Blake accepted his apologize with the same half smile.

I looked at Amanda, I could tell she was thinking the same I was thinking,

Boys are so weird.

First they are killing each other, and now they're almost kissing.

"Boys are so weird," she whispered in my ear.

See?

"I know," I whispered back.

There was a knock on the door. Mr. Rogers came in the room.

"Jackson, Miller, Brookes to the office," he pointed at each of us.

"What did I do?" I asked in confusion.

"Your brother called," he informed.

The first thing that came to my mind was my mom.

He said he wouldn't call me unless something bad would happen. What happened? Is everything okay? Questions started to flow around in my mind, making me even more worried than before.

Mr. Rogers left the room, he sill had a class going on.

Blake took my hand, seeing the worry drawn in my face, he knows I'm scared of what the teacher just said.

"She's okay don't worry," he reassured with a hand squeeze.

I hope he's right.

I didn't even ask how he knew about my mom, well his mom goes to see my mother everyday so I guess that explains a lot. His mom is a kind and lovable woman, she cares about her sons more than she cares about herself.

My head switched to the fact I was holding hands with Blake. A feeling of happiness reached my tummy, it had happened before. But I wasn't so familiar yet. Yes yet. I was thinking of getting closer to him, how? I wasn't so sure, but he was helping me on that.

"I hope so," I mumbled my reply.

Like before, he held the door open for Cade and me, instead of sitting with them, I walked to the telephone and picked it up.

"Hello?" I looked around the office, I rarely came here.

'Bella, how are you?,' Logan's voice spoke through the electronic device.

"I'm...I don't even know Logan. What happened?" I turned to look at Blake who had his full attention in me.

His eyes again. I had to look away in order to focus on Logan.

'It's mom...' I was hoping he wouldn't say that.

"What about mom?" a feel of dizziness crawled towards my head, making me to hold onto the table I front of me for balance.

'She- she's in a really severe state, Bells. I will pick you up soon, I'm on my way actually,' Logan informed.

"B-but, what's w-wrong with her?" I felt myself start to panic, the words came out so low I had to repeat my question louder than before.

'We don't know yet the doctors haven't said anything, they kept telling us that we have to wait,' I heard another voice in the background.

'The dog wants to talk to you, calm down Bella, it's going to be okay. Just breath,' I nodded my head even though he couldn't see me.

'Bella?' a frightened little voice spoke.

"Alex, how are you?" I followed Logan's advice, taking 2 deep breaths before answering my little brother.

'I'm scared,' Alex blubbered.

"I know baby, I am too," I confessed to him, I had to be strong for him, for my mom, for my dad, for Logan.

Even though they were males and supposed to be more stronger than females, I knew they weren't, they tried but I always felt that me and my mom were the things that always made them smile. Without us everything would be sad and depressing. Heck everything would be sad if any member of my family wasn't with us.

'We are here!' Alex squeaked, 'Alex come back in the car at this moment!'

I heard Logan yell.

'Shit, he ran out of the car and I haven't even parked. Does he even know where the entrance and office is?' Logan sounded annoyed.

"He's a smart boy Logan, he will find his way in..." I trailed off when I heard someone call my name. I hung up without saying anything else and ran towards my crying brother hugging him close to me.

"I missed you," Alex said in my ear.

"I was just a few miles away from home Simba," I remember I gave him that nickname when he was two because he loved to watch the Lion King, he would watch it all day and never get tired of it.

"I know but still," Alex smiled.

"Can the two boys come to my office now?" the principal was leaning against the door frame, I wonder since when she was standing there.

Stalker.

The boys went in her office, she was about to close the door when she turned to look at me.

"Good luck Bella, you're a wonderful student and sister. Everything is going to be okay," the principal said with a smile.

2 minutes later I heard the main door open again, Logan.

"You little son of a- Oh hey Mary," Logan waved at the woman behind the desk, she was the office secretary. He knew her well because when he went to school here, my brother would usually get in trouble.

"Logan Brookes? It's been so long since I last saw you," 'Mary' gasped.

"Yeah I know, ready to go guys? Here are the keys, I'll just sign the papers and please don't leave me here," Logan gave a pout.

"Don't worry we won't," I laughed ad took Alex's hand, we went inside the car and didn't have to wait long from Logan to walk out from school, and get in the drivers seat. The ride to the hospital was light up by the radio, our little saver, that had us singing all the way.

"Ready guys?" Logan opened his door and then mine, I could feel myself start to panic again. I got out of the car, and watched as my older brother opened the door for our little sibling.

"Let's go see mommy!" Alex grabbed my hand. It hurt me seeing him like this, he thought that mom would be okay after all, but as much as I wanted to tell him that, nobody knew for sure.

It was just heartbreaking.

"Okay let's go," I held onto his hand tightly.

I followed Logan to the room mom was kept. We went inside.

And there laid my mother, she was dressed in a white hospital gown, and connected to the beeping machines. Her skin looked fragile and pale, her chest was going up and down slowly.

"Where's dad?" I asked taking a seat on the chairs next to mom's bed, Alex sat in my lap and started playing with a strand of my hair.

"Still at work, I called him already, he asked for permission to come. But his boss won't let him, so he has to wait. That's why he told me to call you, he said mom needed us together," Logan sat down on the hair next to mine.

"She does need us together," I whispered.

The door open and showed a man in a white robe, holding a clipboard.

"You two are her daughter and son right?" we nodded.

"May I speak to you for a moment please, the little guy should stay here," the doctor gave us a small smile before leaving the room.

"Alex we are going to talk to the doctor stay here," I set Alex down in the chair I was sitting and left the room with Logan following me.

"What's wrong with our mom doctor?" Logan took my hand.

"Your mom has been detected with cancer, she can go on a treatment that will probably save her, it's a good time to know that. The sooner she goes in treatment the more possibilities for her to live," those words hurt even more than the fact that Blake liked another girl.

I held back my tears, griping tightly to Logan's hand, my world just broke.

"Yes please," Logan nodded.

"Alright, we will but as soon as your dad comes and signs the papers to give permission. I suggest you go home and get some rest. Your sister looks very tired, we will call you if anything happens," I felt as if the doctor understood what we went going through. But he was right, I was tired, not even thinking of going to school tomorrow.

"Thank you for everything, sir. We really appreciate it, we will get going now," Logan and me went back the room, to find Alex talking to mom, she was awake.

"I went to Bella's school today, it was fun," mom looked at him like he was the most precious thing, she looked like that at each of us.

"Hey mom," I kissed her forehead.

"Hi," her voice sounded low, and it was obvious that talking was difficult for her.

"Mom, mind taking Bella home? She had a long day, and well we just received the news," my older brother kissed her cheek.

"I'm sorry for not telling you guys earlier, and sure you can go. Sleep well sweetheart," mom said the words slowly.

She knew about the cancer, I know my mom and she did that so we wouldn't worry. Knowing us we would freak out and send her to the hospital right away. But without telling us the disease can spread to her body faster.

"Thanks mom," I hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek. I said goodbye to Alex and left. Logan took me home, we didn't talk on our way there, I guess we were too shocked from the news we just received. I mean who would thought my mom would have that sickness? I needed someone who had once promised to be always there for me, that someone will know what to do. I'm sure about that.

"I will be home once dad gets to the hospital," Logan informed me before driving off. I sighed before walking across the street, to the house I was very familiar to. My hands were sweaty. He will probably be home, I wouldn't be surprise of he got suspended, the fight was pretty bad.

I wanted to turn around and instead call Zeth, but my feet were glued to the ground and every step I took more and more tears would form in my eyes, but they wouldn't fall.

This is it, I thought.

Lifting my hand up I knocked on the door. Soon the door swung open to reveal a confused dark brown haired boy with icy blue eyes.

"Bella?"
