Katy Brown.

Everybody knew that name. It belonged to Redroad High's one and only bad girl.

At first, she might not have looked like much, but she was.

That day, her long black hair was tied back in a simple high ponytail, dangling lightly above her shoulders. It swung from side to side as she walked down the hallways. Her piercing blue eyes traveled dangerously from student to student, jugement in her eyes.

She could have been pretty, with her silky black mane and her beautiful curves. Instead she looks tough, with her broad shoulders, her black motorcycle and her leather jacket. Her lips were coated with an almost brown shade of red lipstick, and her eyes are heavy with eyeliner.

She carried her black motorcycle helmet under one arm, her keys clinging noisily form the tip of her fingers. Her pace was slow, but steady and intimidating. Students in her grade scurried by when she passed near them, fear in their eyes.

Katy knew she was late, like every other day. She didn't care.

She walked up to her locker in the deserted hallway. That is, almost deserted.

She sighed in exasperation as she saw Joe Louis, the school's bad boy. He too was dressed in black, his hair messy above his head. He was easily the hottest boy in school. Somehow, Katy happened to be the only girl who was unattracted to him. Somehow, she also happened to be the only girl he was attracted to.

"Hey babe."

She had stopped trying to tell him to quit calling her that two months ago. It wasn't worth it.

"Joe", she answered with a nod. This was one of the few times that she actually talked back to him.

"You busy tonight?"

"Yeah actually, I have a double date with Jack and Thomas", she answered, the corners of her mouth twitching up ever so slightly.

"Oh." There was an akward pause which Katy easily shrugged off, tossing her stuff into her locker. She brought out a stack of books, and looked at him impatiently. "Still think they're worth your time, hey?"

"They're pretty hot. And nice", Katy replied. Oh, how she enjoyed these mornings.

"Hey, I'm late. I'd better go. I'll make sure to beat them up at lunch though."

"Then I can beat you up afterwards.. Good, I'll see you then." A fight would brighten up her day. Yes, especially if it meant punching Joe.

She slammed her locker door shut and started in the opposite direction towards her math class.

"Fine, I'll take that as a first date", he called after her.

Katy smiled. He just wouldn't give up.
