November 14th 141 days before
The next morning, I decided to actually bother with my appearance a little bit. I don't know why, actually yes I do its because Jace is an asshole and I actually want to make him realize he can't treat people like that and shut him up for once by looking bomb as fuck.
After putting on a white muscle tank top with only a black bandeau and a bra underneath and high waited black jeans with my vans, I went down to the "glam room". I put on mascara, eyeliner and a dark smokey eye, making the blue in my normally greyish eyes stand out. I didn't bother wearing anything else on my face because I didn't need to. After putting in my earrings (I have three on one ear and four on another) and pulling my hair into a ponytail, I grabbed my bag and left the house.
I was currently sitting in history class, holding down a strong glaring game with Kourtney prissy pants until Mr. What's-his-name enters the classroom, dragging her eyes away to focus on his backside. Pervert.
"Ah Miss. Falconari, pleasure to have you join us today." I smirked and nodded slightly, making Jace's jaw clench visibly from across the room (I made sure to get in the class after him so I didn't have to sit beside it.) I was lucky enough to get to sit by Caden, so was writing what looked like murder plots in a black leather notebook.
"Wish I could say the same about being here." The class giggled slightly, they stopped at the glare sent their way by the teacher.
"Well, since you missed the test yesterday I've decided that you are to do a three minute speech on anything we've talked about over the last two days you've been here." I looked quite smug and pleased with himself, bastard.
I stood up and walked up to the front of the room, totally ready to just wing this. I honestly don't even know what we were learning about, but I saw "WWII" written on the board as I walked up, so I just decided to do something with that.
"Okay, this is totally unprepared due to the lack of notice what-so-ever. Thanks for that actually, really appreciate it." Mr. Novak smiled insincerely and gestured for me to continue.
"I'm going to talk to you about the, soldiers. The brave soldiers who fought for our freedom in the war. Actually I feel that to truly, honour their bravery and courageousness that we should all take," I checked the time on the clock. "Two minuets of silence to think about them. Right now."
And I stood there, for two minuets silent, just standing there. Honouring the brave soldiers. I didn't even look at Mr. Novak to see how red his face was, despite the fact that it would be incredibly entertaining.
After the two minuets was over, I said a quick "thank you" and sat down in my seat. Caden was dying with laughter, not that anyone actually did anything about it per usual.
"You genius! This is why I need you on my team! You are valuable in my quest." He muttered the last part, kinda evilly and creepily at the same time.
"Cailyn, speak to me after class." Mr. Novak said through a clenched jaw.
"Aye aye captain."
I honestly don't know who was more pissed off, Jace or Mr. Novak but either way I was internally smirking at the two incredibly attractive men being angry with me. I wasn't even trying to piss them off, I was just being myself.
Change for no man ladies. And boys, boys listen too.
The rest of class dragged on, Caden was rambling on about his dog who he actually named "dickwad", which was absolutely fabulous, especially because it was a girl dog that's been pregnant for 8 and a half months now.
