Chapter 5
I dedicate this chapter toAlphaWins!!! Thank you for supporting Alpha Red!!!******
I sigh as I lean on the table and drink my coffee. Me and Zack are still in the human world. I was sitting outside some cafe watching everyone walk around in a hurry, while Zach got us breakfast. I watch as a man in a nice black suit bumps into a man wearing a dark grey suit who is on the phone. And to my surprise instead of shifting and trying to kill each other, they just mumble apologies and move on. Which causes me to chuckle. The human world is quite different from the wolf world.
Zach sits down and hands me my food. "What's so funny?"
"Humans. They're a lot more calmer then us, more in a hurry. But a lot calmer."
He nods his head. "So what's the plan today?"
"I want to stop at The Crank. See how everything is going."
"Why?"
"Because I want to make sure it's being run properly."
"What are you going to about Aaron?" Zach asks.
I take a bite of my breakfast sandwich. "Hopefully he'll keep his mouth shut. I don't want to deal with bitchy Alpha's, and Alpha's who are going to kiss my ass, and Alpha's who think it's all a joke. If he knows what's good for him he won't say a word."
"And if he does?"
"Simple. I'll make his life a living Hell. It is my speciality after all." I say with grin.
Zach chuckles. "Of course." Halfway through eating I lean my head back and look up. I close my eyes and take in the sounds and smells. "What are we going to do before? We have the rest of the day still."
I take a deep breath before I open my eyes and lift my head to look at Zach. "We are going to look at flooring, paint colours, tiles, furniture, everything. I want to have everything picked out, or have a good idea of what I want, before we leave on Monday."
Zach whistles as he leans back in his chair. "That's a lot to get done in two and a half days."
I smirk as memories of stopping wars in a day come to mind. "We've done far more in that time period before. This shouldn't be a problem."
Zach grins at me, obviously catching onto what I was thinking. "True."
I take a sip of my coffee. "What do you want to do first?"
"Floors and walls." He pauses. "Is Amber joining us?"
I nod my head as I crumble my garbage into a ball. "Later on. She has other things to finish first."
When we are done eating, we get up and throw our garbage out. I take the keys out of my purse and unlock the car. I hop in the driver's seat as Zach gets in the passenger. I start up the car then put on my seatbelt. I pull out away from the curb and start driving down the busy street.
"So where are we going?" Zach asks.
I shrug my shoulders. "Anywhere that flooring and paint is sold." I drive around the city. I know the layout a bit, but things have changed. When I finally find a home improvement store, I pull into the parking lot. I pull into an available stall and park.
"Do you have to park so far away from the store?" Zach whines as he undid his seatbelt.
I turn the car off. "You need your exercise. Now let's go." I get out of the car and lock it. I throw the keys in my purse as we walk. I narrow my eyes at the person honking their horn at us to move faster. Honestly, I know humans have much shorter life spans then us, but is this necessary? Take the time to smell the roses before you're dying and full of regret.
