It was three in the morning and Danny was loopy as all hell.

He and Arin had been on a late night Grump session, and in between episodes they had stopped to get a snack. But Arin didn't want what was left of the office's snacks (Suzy was heading out for a supply run later) so he dragged Dan to the nearest Wal-Mart to do it right then.

All that was really happening was Danny falling asleep on the cart and mumbling affirmations to whatever Arin was asking to throw in the cart.Arin made the mistake of going shopping hungry, so he was, of course, tempted to grab everything he saw. When he did actually stop and stand still to contemplate what he wanted, Danny would abandon the cart and shuffle into Arin's big warm arms and snuggle there until he made up his mind.

It got to the point where Danny would just cling to his chest the entire time, refusing to move and nuzzling himself into the crook of Arin's neck.Arin didn't have the heart to keep him off, because he knew Danny was exhausted and would definitely conk out as soon as he got in the car. On the way out, Arin grabbed a new jacket and blanket for Dan (Danny seemed to be always cold, and from the way his fingers trembled ever so slightly and how he clung to Arin's shirt he was freezing) and kissed his forehead. He made sure he grabbed a box of tea, too.

A million silly giggles from the cashier and 3 trips to the car later (two for the groceries, one for Dan) Arin was on the couch with a bowl of macaroni and cheese and and a lap full of Jew. He had covered Dan with his new blanket plus his favorite white one, and the older man wasted no time crawling into his boyfriend's lap.The sun was rising outside, and Arin was sitting on the couch watching Netflix with a heaping bowl of mac'n cheese and his cuddly and overtired boyfriend sprawled across him as though it was going out of style.

Three AM runs to the store were his favorite way to end the day, simply because they often ended like this.
