May loves the Philippines. It isn't because it is her birthplace, but because she had great memories in this country with her mother. Even though, there are those memories that she doesn't want to talk about it in front of everyone. Most of them even leave nightmares that still haunt her today.
She missed hanging out with her old friends. She miss her mom's special Adobo. She miss the salty air of the beach where her mom usually brings her every summer break. She even miss that old man that gives her free Isaw every time she goes home. She had to leave those behind after she found out that she's the daughter of the Sea God, Poseidon. She had to go to Camp Half Blood in America. And, after two years in camp, she joined The Hunters of Artemis. A group of girls dedicated in aiding the Moon Goddess, Artemis, with her hunt.
Being a hunter is amazing. Ever since May joined the hunters, she obtained immortallity and her powers became stronger than before. But, she does feel a little homesick from time to time. May really miss her country. This was on her mind as she awaits for Lady Artemis from her meeting with the gods.
"May?" a voice said behind her. She quickly notched an arrow and pointed her bow at the sound of the voice. "Whoa!" the voice said as she raised her hands "Put that thing down! I don't want to die yet!" The figure moved forward so that she can be visible in the moon light. She had dark eyes with deep black hair. She wore the standard attire of the Hunters, and a bandana. "Blessie." May said as she lowers her bow.
"Next time, point your arrow at monsters and/or men, not me." Blessie said as she walks towards her. "Sorry." May replied "Just a bit --" her sentence was cut off as a sliver chariot parked in front of them and Lady Artemis stepped out from it.
"Milady--"
"Go call the others" Artemis said "We will be hunting soon."

As soon as the other hunters were called out from their tents, Artemis began to speak. "It is come to our knowledge that someone is rallying an army that would invade Mount Olympus and start another Titan War..."
Everyone was alert as she explained everything the Gods have talked about during their meeting. Although, in the corner of May's eyes, she notice a few hunters who are fast asleep at the back of the group. They looked around 13 or 14 years old. They might be younger or older than her. She can't be sure. See, when you are a hunter, you are granted with immortality. So, you will never know how old a hunter could be.
"... And so, Lord Zeus has ordered us to search for all of the potential allies of this person can get around the globe. More particularly in a country called Philippines." she said. At that moment, May raised her hand.
"Yes?" Artemis asked.
"What do you mean by 'particularly Philippines'? Is my country in danger?" May said with a troubled look on her face.
Artemis put her hand on her maiden's shoulder. "Not to worry, my maiden." She said to her lieutenant. "We will make sure that your homeland will be safe from any monster attacks." After that, she turned to the rest of them. "Rest well. We will be leaving first thing in the morning. Good night, my hunters." And with that, the Moon Goddess concluded their talk and went to her tent.
As the others went back to their respective tents, Blessie tapped May's on the shoulder. "Hey? We sleepin' or what?" she asked her.
"Umm. Yeah. Sure." she said, still worried. What if the monsters will come to her mom's house and... She didn't want to finish that thought.
"Hey. Just chillax, kay'? Both of our moms are strong enough on their own. I'm sure they will be fine." Blessie said with a confident look on her face.
May almost forgot that Blessie was also born in the Philippines. "Umm. Is your mom going to be ok?" she asked.
She grinned. "My mom will kill any monster that will come close within ten meters from her". May laugh at this comment. No wonder the God of War fall for her mom. Maybe she is right. Maybe her mom was ok. But, she can only make sure about it when she gets back to their house.
"Well." May yawned. "I'm going to bed. See you tomorrow." She said.
"Ok, good night."
"Night."
She prepared her camping bed and went to sleep almost immediately.
