Summer

Summer days seem to be so short now. When I was younger Inused to think summer lasted forever. It scares me knowing that school will start again. Today my grandma told us she found a homedchool group that does field trips and get you involved with other kids.

This is going to be so lame especially since she also just told us she signed us up for girl scouts. All of us are homeschooled which means that we wont get as many sales as the other girls. Our first meeting is next week and me and Valerie are already getting uniforms.

The week passes.....

We all look like losers in this uniform and the troop leader looks like she hasn't showered in days.

Some of the girls are nice, dont get me wrong but how are we going to do things when we don't have anyone donating money to help. This is probably the saddest girl scout troop I've ever seen but I mean who cares.

(Troop leader calls the meeting)

Troop leader- Hello girls, welcome! Today we have two new girl scouts joining us today! Alexa and Valerie!

Me- (in my head) Oh god please don't point me out! I dont feel like introducing myself.

Troop leader- Alexa why dont you stand up and introduce yourself! And tell us one thing you have done this summer!

Me- Hi. Ummmm my name is Alexa Garcia and I have just stayed home and watched tv really...... so uh yea.

Troop Leader- (says kind of awkwardly) well that seems nice, it's good to be lazy every now and then.

Me- (in my head) ugh great you sounded boring, nice going!

Troop Leader- ok, now Valerie why don't you stand up and tell us about yourself.

Valerie- well, I'm Valerie and I love the color blue and music, I also have hung out with some friends this summer. So yea it's been fun!

Troop Leader- wow, that's fun. Well cookie sells start this week so are next meeting will be next week on Tuesday. Thank you girls for coming a being a good friend to Valerie and Alexa.

Later that day.....

After the meeting it just seemed like everything was going downhill from there. Everything just seemed to fall apart just when I thought the pieces were falling together. Somehow I just knew that things weren't going to get better.
