The Moon and the Sun

There once was a girl. I won't tell you her name, because I don't know it. But well call her... Moon.

Peculiar name isn't it? But you'll see why.

And there once was a boy. I don't know his name, either. But let's come up with a name..... Ah, yes. Sun.

Now Sun was loved by everyone, he was bright and kind. He did have an uncontrollable temper, though.

Moon was the exact opposite. She was very beautiful. Everyone admires her beauty, but only from a distance. They thought her cold or unfeeling. Distant at the very least.

Sun didn't know it, but him and Moon went many places that Sun himself loved. Moon was not aware of this either.

They rarely ever met. It was always a chase. They never knew what they were chasing, or what they were looking for exactly. They just knew to keep looking. But they always seemed to just...miss each other.

Until... Until one day. They did meet. And what an extraordinary meeting it was. No one saw it. No one could ever see it. It was so beautiful that you couldn't see. Not like Romeo and Juliet, silly. But so much more.

You see Moon was a night person, and Sun loved the daytime. Moon was there in the daytime, admiring Sun. From a distance. And Sun was there at night, helping Moon shine brighter than he ever had before. But also from a distance.

They grew older and still chased each other. They were in love. But they had never spoken. Never laughed together. Never kissed.

Until one particular day. I don't know if it was night or day... But they both wanted to truly meet. And they decided they would.

So one day they just walked up to each other. They said hello and they kissed. And everyone saw how much on love they were and saw their predicament. Both Sun and Moon were older now. They were not children anymore. They both had duties to fulfill. Jobs that enhibited their schedules.

So the people around them, the people who loved and cherished them, put aside a day, in both their schedules, where they could just be together. One day, not every year. Not every month. It was called an eclipse. But it was enough.

And the funny thing is... If you look outside, there won't be an eclipse. But you will see Moon admiring Sun.
