Alex's POV
I woke to a gun shot. I snapped up and look out the window and to my amazement there was six military officers standing outside the fence I walked out side and greeted them. They told me a horde of the zeds was heading this way and we needed to leave. I asked if we could go with them they said pack your shit and quick. Running back inside JOHN GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE NOW I yelled up stairs John came running down the stairs. I told him everything and we started packing after we got the girls up. After about a hour we had all of our stuff packed and ready to go. There where two humvees the one beside me spoke names grizzly. I'm Alex old fart over there is John the girls are Serra and Tori. Grizzly said hi then Tori screamed to stop and she jumped out and I got out with her and we saw a horde if zombies and a little kid in a window in a house we got to save him Tori cried the military got out and helped us kill them and we save the kid John walked over to me holding his bloodied arm. I realized what I had to do pulling out my pistol I told him to show me his arm he had a bite on his shoulder once Serra saw she started crying and so did Tori. John looked at me with tears in his eyes he nodded his head before he said anything I lurched at him and hugged him crying I pulled away and shot him and walked away balling my eyes out getting back in the humvee we started the drive to the base.
We finally got the child to tell us his name. He spoke in a sheepish voice. My name's Caleb he said barely audible Tori pulled him onto her lap and told him everything was gonna be fine he was safe now he fell asleep on her.
two hours later
We finally got to the base once we got out rooms and bunks me to Tori decided to share so Caleb could stay with us we stayed behind while everyone went to eat.
Tori's POV
Can we keep him babe. Of course we can Tori anything you want is OK with me. Happily I jumped into Alex's arms and kissed him we flopped onto our bunk and made out for a solid thirty minutes.
