"You deserve a long and happy life far away from here" He said as his eyes began to water. He put both his hands on my cheeks. He wiped my tears with his thumbs and looked deep into my eyes.

My body jolted up. I was sweating as I looked around and realized it was just a dream. I have never had a dream so realistic.

It felt too real to be just a dream. But it was nothing I remember happening to me. I didn't recognize the face of the man but I felt like I should have. I closed my eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. Once I got myself together, I went to go take a shower.

I thought the shower would help but I still couldn't stop thinking about this man. The way he touched my face and the tone of his voice. I had never heard a heart break like that in a single sentence.

I have to get ready, I don't have the time to think about this dream. I quickly got dressed and headed out the door. It had been over a week since I had given Kai my number so at this point I pretty much gave up on that. I hadn't even seen him around campus.

But on the bright side it was Friday so I had the weekend to look forward to. I was going to see Matt on Saturday which I'm stoked about. I got my bag and headed out the door.

The two classes I had somehow went buy super fast. But Friday nights at the bar were the worst. So I wasn't looking forward to that at all. When I walked into the bar it was super quiet and barley anyone was there.

I went to the back to put my stuff away in my little locker. I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I looked and it was just an email. I felt stupid because I thought it might be Kai. As much as I thought I had given up I still slightly hoped he would text me or something.

I rolled my eyes and put my phone back in my pocket. I walked to the bar and cleaned up a bit before starting. After that, it didn't take long for the place to be crowned and the drunk guys to be unbearably annoying.

The night was went by so slow I was pretty convicted that this shift was never going to end. But it did and man was I happy. I closed up and went to the back. I heard the door open. I got a little happy as I hoped it was Kai. But when I came out it was Tyler.

"I need a drink" He pulled out the chair and tried to sit in it. "I'm sorry but we're closed Tyler. Besides it looks like you've already had enough to drink. What you need is some sleep" I said. "No what I need is to never fall in love again. You know I'm there for her and she choices death over me" "I'm sure it wasn't death Tyler, and maybe she's going through a lot right now" I told him.

He rolled his eyes at me. "Well it's nothing some whiskey won't fix" he laughed. "Come on Tyler, I'm not going giving you anymore alcohol". He narrowed his eyes at me. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me close to him. "Look after all I've been through all I want right now is a damn drink" "Tyler, you're hurting me" I said trying to let remove his hand.

"Do you think you can manage that?" He asked. "Are you sure you want to be doing that?" I heard someone say. I looked over and saw Kai. I slightly smiled at the sight of him. "I heard her say you were hurting her so why don't you make it easy on us all and just let her go?" He asked.

"Look who it is ladies and gentle men it's brother of the year, you know I wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for you" He said. I was confused and wondered if he didn't make sense cause he was drunk or I was missing something. "Come one man just let go of her" he told Tyler. "Or what?" Tyler responded. Kai narrowed his eyes at him. "You really don't want to find out".

They stared at each other for a minute. I grabbed one of the bottles in front of me and broke it over Tyler's head. Before he fell to the floor I took his hand off me. I looked over at Kai who looked shocked. "I guess you had it" he laughed a little. I laughed along with him. "I'm gonna go call my friend to pick him up" I got my phoned out of my pocket and went to the back.
