Evelyn did not see much of Harry those next few days, but she understood, he was very busy with the tournament and school and friends. She hoped to speak with him soon, preferably before the task so she could wish him luck.

Evelyn did not talk to him, but she did see him. She saw him at dinner, and in the halls, the day she most clearly saw him, though, was the day of the second task. She had purchased magnifiers just for this event.

She saw him get pushed into the murky color of the lake and winced in disgust for him. "Horrible, absolutely revolting," she muttered to herself.

A large box was put into her field of vision and striking red hair extremely similar to Ron's appeared in front of her. "Treats, kid?"

Evelyn simply grabbed a box and paid the amount they were asking for, ignoring everything else around her but the lake.

"Rude."

One of the identical twins pushed the other away saying,"Thank you, purchase again!"

She spent what felt like days waiting for him to resurface. He was the last one, but Fleur hadn't brought anyone back to the safety of land, and he had brought two!

Seeing him freezing and shaking made her hurry in the crowd of people toward him, she was quickly squashed by people, but she made her way through. "Harry!" She quickly rested on her knees in front of Harry, reaching towards his shoulder to give it a light squeeze. "You did amazing!"

"I came in last." Harry looked so disappointed in himself, like no matter what anyone said, he was a failure. He had ignored Dumbledore's announcement of him coming in second very thoroughly, however, Evelyn had not.

"You saved two people instead of one! And you came in second! Again, Harry, you're amazing!"

"Yeah, yeah, Harry's great and all, but what about me?" Ron soon pushed himself into Evelyn's tunnel vision.

Evelyn ruffled Ron's hair and giggled. "You were wonderful, Ron."

Ron's face lit up at that, he must not receive much encouragement from many people, being in Harry's shadow.

"So I bought some candy from your brothers, and I don't trust it at all."

"We should test it out tomorrow in the library, I'll tell Hermione." Ron soon found himself going over to Hermione who was extremely occupied with Krum. He mostly gaped like a fish at Krum the entire time,"Library," and,"Tomorrow," being the only two words coming out to Hermione.

Harry looked towards Evelyn and scoffed, ignoring the people crowding them,"I think that's the only time I've ever heard Ron say library and let's go in a sentence, not sarcastically."

Evelyn snorted and quickly shoved her hands on her mouth, surprised she had done that. Harry just laughed and got up from his position on the now wet wood, putting a hand out to her. She took it and pulled herself up, starting to walk back to Hogwarts with Harry and speaking about what they're most excited to try in the box.

this was super cute yes, yes as usual. i think this story will take a darker turn in the ootp after cedric happens though so i don't really know how long the cuteness ever chapter will last
