I dream of a grotesque, twisted frame.
I dream of bones and blood through meat.
I dream of a grimace
Under raw pink scalp,
And crooked spine and
Legs folded through arms and
Clothing and skin and glass:
Strewn.
I dream of hard short gasps of breath,
That shorten still
Towards
My
_ _ _ _ _.
And eyes that see something,
(Something that isn't there)
Watched from under shifted bone:
That held a thought, or two, once.
I dream of tears and calls
And sirens, and strangers gasps.
I dream of hard asphalt.......
Uncomfortable.
Even amongst such pain.
I dream of noise and confusion,
And panic, like rain,
And one dominant voice.......
Unknown.
I dream of remembering those I love,
And how I love them so.
I dream of those I should of loved,
And why I let them go.
Of opportunities I let pass,
Missed chances, broken glass.
I dream of red warmth,
Wet in my......
Ears.....
And
Nose......
And
Mouth.....
Metallic gurgling.
A part of me is cold,
Exposed by hard erosion,
But I don't even know which part.
I know nothing but pain,
With the promise of peace:
And love of heart,
I've always seeked.
I dream I will deficate,
With one last gasp,
And my bones will
relax
And my eyes will see the truth,
At last.
Here, in the middle of the road;
Surrounded by unknowns.
I dream I will be hit by a car.
It re-occurs
Again,
And again,
And again.
I dream, sometimes,
Some terrible things.
But that hard fast metal
Might bear me my wings.
