Suzie's POV
" She bought you a huge banner?!" asked Maddie
" Yep. " I replied.
There is something good about this summer, Maddie is spending the night. We haven't had a sleepover for a while. Maddie has been busy with her things and I have been busy with my things.
" So what do you want to do tonight? " I asked Maddie. I already knew one of her answers which was 'Stay up until 12:00 or later.' We have always done that rule. We never make it past 10:45.
" Well for once I would like to stay up until 12:00. But I would also like to do each others nails." said Maddie. We both have had a knack for nails since we were little girls.
" Okay. " I said. I got up and ran to get my nail polish.
All of the nail polish I have is in a big wooden basket. And when I say big, I mean huge!
The nail polish is in the downstairs bathroom so I ran down the stairs and into the bathroom. I grabbed the polish and ran back up the stairs.
But when I got the top of the stairs I slipped and fell down the stairs.
" Ouch! " I yelled.
Next thing I knew Maddie was was standing at the top of the stairs.
" What happened?! " she asked.
" I fell down the stairs is what happened. " I replied.
Man am I lucky none of the nail polish broke. OMG! That's when I looked up. All of the nail polish was perfectly sitting in the basket at the top of the stairs.
" Here. Take my hand I'll pull you up. " Maddie said.
I grabbed her hand and like she said, she pulled me up.
After what happened we both carefully walked up the stairs.
When we got to the top Maddie asked me, " Are you sure your okay? "
" Ya. I'm fine. I might have some bruises in the morning though. Now how about we paint some nails?"
