The life of Leeroy

The next chapter

Leeroy doesn't think he's good enough to audition for One Direction's new music video and decides to go back to his old job; cleaning sick up at McDonald's. However, even though Leeroy doesn't believe in himself, Jimmy does. Jimmy is determined for Leeroy not to throw his life away and visits him at McDonald's.

A spoilt kid scoffs down all his food too quickly and starts to rub his stomach. Leeroy watches him from across the room and gasps "Oh no he isn't!" then clicks his fingers in a 'z' formation.

"Mum, I don't feel well!" the boy moans, panicking Leeroy. Leeroy sprints, jumps onto the table where a group of friends are sat around, standing in their food, but this doesn't worry him, because Leeroy is on a mission. He then jumps off the table, slides across the floor to the kid and sticks duct tape over his mouth. The boy gags a bit then stops and the sick doesn't come out.

Leeroy wipes sweat from his forehead then falls to the floor with relief "That was a close one!" Then the boy's mum pulls the duct tape off his mouth. Leeroy senses that there's something wrong. He slowly lifts his head up and looks at the boy. The realization of what is about to happen hits Leeroy. "You monster!" he shouts at the mum "You evil witch!" then the boy opens his mouth and lets all the sick pour out over Leeroy.

Leeroy runs around the restaurant screaming, he then stops infront of the mum and scoops up some sick from his t-shirt with his hands. "You wanted to open Pandora's box, here, have some of the contents!" then he throws the sick directly hitting the mum in the face. The mum then screams and her and Leeroy end up screaming then Jimmy walks in.

"Leeroy?!" Jimmy says, Leeroy continues screaming with the boy's mother and eventually everyone in the restaurant leaves with the ear piercing noise. The manager then steps in.

"Leeroy! Get into my office, now!" he says in an irritated tone, his face flushed with fury.

Leeroy sighs, "Yes sir" then slowly walks to his managers office. About 10 minutes after being called into the managers office, Leeroy finally comes out. Jimmy meets Leeroy outside of the McDonald's.

"What did he say?!" Jimmy asks anxiously.

"It's not good Jimmy" Leeroy says as they both walk down the street. "He warned me, step out of line again and I'm on toilet duty!"

"Leeroy!" Jimmy says sympathetically. "You can't carry on like this Leeroy, you're screwing up your life! What about your dream Leeroy?!"

Leeroy sighs "I know Jimmy, I know.. I don't know what to do, maybe I should just give up on my dream" Jimmy stops then gasps.

"Leeroy! Do you remember your idol's popular quote? Cause I for one sure do! Never Say never!"

"Oh I know Jimmy, I guess I'm just having a hard day is all"

Jimmy and Leeroy continue walking down the street then Jimmy thinks of a plan. "Leeroy, meet me at the clubby clack nightclub tonight at 9!"

Leeroy smiles "Oh Jimmy, I'm flattered but you're not my type!" then he winks at Jimmy and flops his hand forward. Jimmy rolls his eyes,

"No Leeroy, not that! You know I'm with Suzanne.. anyway, just meet me there Leeroy, you seem like you could do with a fun night out"

Leeroy smiles "I know right! So, tell me about Suzanne, how are you two getting on?"

"Quite good actually, she dyed her hair again"

"Oh groovy! What colour?"

The boys continue chattering as they walk home.

At 9PM Leeroy meets Jimmy inside the clubby clack nightclub. After being there for 5 minutes, Leeroy gets frustrated "Why did you bring me here Jimmy?! The place is as dead as that rat on your head!"

"Hey, my nan knitted me that hat!" The nightclub is quite quiet with only Leeroy, Jimmy and this guy sat down in the corner, pervy peter, you don't wanna be in a club alone with him. But Jimmy who used to work at this very nightclub knows that at 9.30 is when the place gets packed full of people.

"It'll liven up soon" Jimmy says slyly as he drinks his drink. He orders Leeroy lots of drinks and Leeroy soon gets hammered by the time herds of people crowd the club at 9.30 like Jimmy suspected. Leeroy grabs a few people and walks toward the dance floor. Knowing what's gonna happen, Jimmy gets his video camera out and starts recording Leeroy. Leeroy repositions his light bubblegum pink headband on his head then puts his hands out to his sides as he waits for the song to start.

"And a one, two, one, two, three, four!" He steps twice to the left then claps then steps twice to the right then claps. "Come on everybody!" He does his dance routine as YMCA by the Village people blast out of the speakers. He then spins around, hits the floor and does the splits. Everyone cheers him on and join in. The soul of the party. Jimmy smiles as he captures all of Leeroy's epic dance routines on camera. Leeroy then lifts his hands up into a 'Y' then a 'M' ,'C' and 'A' and continues dancing until he passes out and his pink headband falls off.

Jimmy fills out the One Direction Best Song Ever form and burns the video of Leeroy dancing at the club onto a CD and adds it in the envelope with the form to modest. He gets up early in the morning happily and posts it through the letterbox with a smile. Jimmy then pops into Leeroy's apartment to check up on him. Leeroy is still in bed when Jimmy arrives. "Heya Leeroy, how ya feeling?"

"Horrible Jimmy, just horrible! My head is throbbing!" then he touches his head. "Ahhhhhh! Where's my light bubblegum pink headband?!"

"Don't worry Leeroy!" he walks over to Leeroy's bedside table and pulls out the drawer. "I got it washed, it fell off your head last night and got all dirty." He then hands it to Leeroy and closes the drawer which is full with hundreds of light bubblegum pink headbands exactly the same.

"Jimmy, what would I do without you?!" Leeroy says with a smile as he puts the headband around his head.

Jimmy skips off mischeviously "I don't know"

A week later, Jimmy gets a phone call about the application form and video of Leeroy and invites him for a interview. Jimmy arrives at Modest! Management head quarters and sits down with one of the boys managers, Will, for an interview. "So, you applied your friend.. Leerow..?"

"Leeroy" Jimmy corrects him.

"..Leeroy, for an audition to be in the music video for 'Best Song Ever."

"That is correct" Jimmy says, pleased with himself.

"Why?" Will asks.

"Because he's bloody fantastic, he's my brother's friend's cousin's uncle's son and he's like a brother to me, I don't want to see him give up on his dream!" Jimmy feels like Leeroy's got this in the bag, he will be given an audition and become the boy's choreographer, a professional choreographer like his dream. Until Will plays the video of Leeroy on his laptop and turns it around to Jimmy and says "What the fuck is this?!"

Jimmy seems confused "Why it's Leeroy doing what he does best, cheographing a dance routing to 'YMCA', getting everyone joining in, he's soo talented"

Will just looks right at Jimmy "..He's clearly drunk and dancing all over the place.. you've just wasted my time, why the hell would I choose Leeroy over all the other thousands of applicants?"

Jimmy thinks for a moment, then smiles and looks at Will. "Because he'll sort out all your hate mail everyday for free!"

Immediately Will says "Done!" then shakes Jimmy's hand. "I'll look forward to seeing Leeroy at his audition tomorrow morning at 8AM. Jimmy smiles "Great, see you then" then he walks out of the room, he then see's a big truck pulling up outside delivering mail to modest management, he then remembers that part of the deal and nervously pulls at his collar, but then gets excited that Leeroy is auditioning to be in 1D's music video and skips down the steps and gets the train home.

What will happen next? Will Leeroy be happy about what Jimmy's just done and audition or will he be fuming and not turn up to the audition at all and clean up more sick at McDonald's?
