"Hey Sev!" Lily calls to me as she runs to the tree I like to sit under when I do my homework. Her red curls are flopping behind her as she runs. In the sun, a spatter of freckles sits on her nose. And her eyes, I love her eyes. Her eyes are the color of the sea, or a beautiful blue flower that you find in a beautiful garden. She sits down next to me and pushes her hair away from her face.
"Hey! did you finish the potions assignment?" she asks me.
"Well yeah, potions is my favorite subject." I respond.
I really do love potions, but around my Slytherin friends I pretend I love Defense Against The Dark Arts, because that's what a true Death Eater likes. My friends all want to join the Death Eaters when they graduate from Hogwarts. You Know Who needs more people on his side. I don't really like killing innocents, but You Know Who is gonna win the war, so I need to join the right side. Lily is a Gryffindor though, and most Gryffindors don't join the Death Eaters. Plus, Lily would never be able to handle working for You Know Who. Her red curls in a Death Eater mask, it would just be out of place.
"Sev, Hello? your daydreaming!" she said laughing. I guess I was kind of Daydreaming.
"Sorry... So, what potion did you do for the assignment?"
"I did Amortentia, the love potion!" she responded. "What did you do?"
"I did The Potion Of All Potential" I responded.
"The potion that finds the best in all of us" she added smiling softly.
I guess you can see why she's my One Reason.
