I cant.
I just cant.
I cant sleep, eat, drink...
Nothing!
Every night since that party I haven't been able to sleep. Eating made me gag. Drinking made me feel like I was drinking blood.
Brandon's blood.
My friends tried to call me yesterday since I bunked school, but I declined all of them. I couldn't talk to anyone.
I was home for a week 'cause my dad was convinced that I was sick. I didn't argue with him on that.
And Ramon.
Oh Ramon. How could he kill my friend. I wanted so hard to believe that those rumours weren't true. But not until that night. I couldn't even tell anyone about this.
What if he finds out that I was there and I saw everything? What if he comes after me too?
I couldn't take it. Things were even worse today because my mom forced me to go to school. She even dropped me off and walked me to class.
"Taylor, I don't know what's wrong with you, but you need to pull yourself together" Mom said. She gave me my books, which she was carrying for me.
After she left, I took a deep breath and walked into the classroom. People were talking and the only ones that noticed my presence were my friends. I gave the teacher my doctor's note and went to sit with my friends. They greeted me and I just smiled. I took a quick glance at Ramon at the back and turned my head again.

I was sitting at the back of the class as usual. I noticed that someone was missing, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Just then, Taylor walked in. She handed the teacher a piece of paper and went to her seat.
I noticed her look at me for a second...and there was so much fear and worry in her eyes.
What else is new? I get that look from everyone in this school.
Anyway, I finished off some of my homework and just stared out the window, thinking. I had a lot on my mind.
Like my math. I'm really bad so I need to pull up my socks. (lowest mark is 78%)
My situation is general. It's the same everyday, but I....never mind.
And my final problem. Brandon's kid.
On the night he died, he asked me to find his kid and take care of him. I had absolutely no idea where he was or who his mother could be. Brandon messed around a lot, so finding his baby mama was gonna be a challenge.
I sighed as the bell rang. As usual, I was the first one out of the classroom.
Unfortunately, on my way to my next class I bumped into Miss Jones. She dropped some of her books but I didn't help her with them.
"Are you gonna help me?" She asked.
"No" I said and walked away.
She chased after me and grabbed onto my arm.
"Ramon, you may not like me but being rude to a teacher is an offence." Jones said but I ignored her and walked into math class.
As soon as I walked in, Crocker was standing ready to ruin my day. She smirked and looked at the time.
"Ramon! You're exactly 2 minutes late for my class. You have after school detention" she said.
What!? It was only 2 minutes!
"It was only two minutes. I ain't going for detention" I argued. Crocker frowned.
"Detention. Now take your seat,Mr. King. You might actually learn something this time" she said.
I rolled my eyes and walked to my seat at the back while the class laughed.

A few periods later, it was time for detention. Everyone but me was going home and just went to the library. I didn't mind, though. I actually liked the library because that was my secret spot. Just for me.
I entered the library and signed my name on the list that the librarian, Ms. Walker, gave me. She was so old and she looked sick.
After grabbing my books, I took a seat and started reading.
Just a few seconds later, the doors creaked and you wouldn't believe who walked in...

I was on my way to detention.
Yes.
You heard right.
Detention!
So apparently I fell asleep in class. At first I didn't see what the problem was until Dré told me that it was happening a lot. Monte and Nio took my books home for me,but unfortunately, I left the house keys in my bookbag.
I entered the library and saw Mrs. Walker by her desk. I went to her and signed my name. Something caught my eye, though. A name. Someone that signed their name just before mine.
Ramon...King...
"Uhm...Ramon King is here?" I asked nervously.
Mrs. Walker nodded. "Yes. He's at the back" she said and went back to her work.
I took a seat in the very front and grabbed a random book. After a few minutes, Mrs. Walker announced that she was leaving but was gonna come back soon.
So that left me and Ramon...
Alone...

I heard Walker announce that she was leaving. I had also noticed Taylor walk in too.
So that meant she and I were the only ones left inside the library.
I stayed at the back and studied for my physics test. I had no idea what Taylor was doing.
Then I heard a sound. It sounded like the door...locked.
I think Taylor heard it too because both of us ran to it.
Taylor tried pulling it and pushing it. I told her to step aside and I tried too,but it didn't work...
I turned to Taylor, who looked terrified.
"We're locked in..."
