A Hostage To Remember

Chapter 7

Jays POV

I took a heavy breath. Maybe i wont get in much trouble...

I went towards the front door and was about to open it until I heard someone walking downstairs.

"Don't even try Jay..." I heard Terry say slowly. I turned around and raised my eyebrow,

"Why?"

"Because....I'll ...shoot you"

"I'm your cousin Terry you don't the guts"

Leo came running downstairs as Terry ended the conversation.

"Dude. Where is James....?"

I shrugged, Terry did the same, I looked straight in front of me and saw James sneeking out the back door.

I didn't say anything but just stare. Terry looked where I was looking and was quick to shoot James.

"What...the ...Hell Terry?!"

"Terry you idiot what the hell is wrong with you?!" Leo followed,

Terry quickly dropped the gun and ran to James as Leo did the same, "Jay...go upstairs and find those two assholes"

Addys POV

I held Jamie tightly as I heard someone coming up the stairs, "Jamie....Addy...it's Jay..."

I slowly popped my head out from under the bed, he looked and then flashed a little smile"

"Man, it's dark under there..." He said when he looked under the bed,

"Here, call the cops on my cell phone....I have ear buds so no one will here the 911 operator calling or talking..."

I nodded, "thanks Jay, but...won't you get in trouble...?"

He shamefully nodded, "yea...I guess.."

I shook my head, " if we escape...I can tell them you didn't do anything. They'll have to believe me...you'll tell the cops Jays a good guy right Jamie...?"

"Yep" She whispered, Jay kept a straight face, "but Terry killed James I think."

"Did you have anything to do with it?"

"No..."

"Then it's not your fault." , Jay was about to say something but Terry or...someone called his name,

"I have to go....remember that the cops are already here"

He left the room as I put one ear bud in and gave the other to Jamie,

I dialed 911,

"911 what is your emergency?"

"I'm a hostage"

"A hostage....are police already there?"

"My name is Addy Hill and I have a four year old named Jamie Lee-Gray.....Yes...Police are here"

"Where are you?"

"Under a bed..."

I heard talking in the backround, "okay Addy, we know where you and Jamie are. This hostage is all over the news, so what I need you to do is to stay on the call with me until an unknown number calls, that unknown number will be the chief of the police, you will talk to him okay?"

There was all long silence between us, as I was processing what she just said. "Addy...? Are you okay?"

"Uh...yea I-"

The call ended all the unknown caller called. I answered, "Hello..."

"Addy..?"

"Yes..." I said, "are you okay?"

"I'm okay. So is Jamie."

"Good to here. My Name is John Hemarly. I am in charge of this whole thing"

"Okay...." I said in a low tone,

I looked over at Jamie who was holding on to my arm as tight as possible.

"So tell me honey, how old are you?"

I highly doubt he didn't know that. "I'm 14."

"And Jamie?"

"Four.", Jamie stated.

"Good. Now, do you know the names of the four guys how have you hostage?"

"Three. Three men..."

"What? I thought for sure there where four."

"There are four men...three of them are holding us hostage. The fourth guy is....really nice and is helping us."

"How is he helping you Addy?"

"He gave us the phone I'm on now, and a pair of ear buds so no one hears you talking. He knows exactly where we are and he isn't telling. He wants to get out of the house but...Terry and Leo won't let him"

"Terry....and Leo...what is the nice guys name?"

"Jay"

"Is Terry's last name, Carmen?"

"Yea...I think so..."

"And the fourth guy...?"

"James"

I was about to ask where my mom was but quickly hung up, Jay, Terry, and Leo where in the same room.
