Bryan sat in his loft on a chilling Wednesday morning. He decided to call in sick that day, one it was his birthday and two, he just didn't feel up to teaching kids that day. However, what he was feeling up to was finally having the courage to tell Mary exactly how he felt.

Making her jealous was obviously not working and he realized he just needed to be direct and straightforward with her. But of course before doing so, he wanted to ask a friend for advice —— maybe two. He likes more than one opinion.

He pulled out his phone and called up Cecelia and after a ring, she answered.

"I was beginning to think you forgot all about me."

"You? No, no. How could I? You keep me humble." He joked, before continuing, "I need some advice about Mary."

"One, happy birthday! Two, you finally giving up on Mary?"

He had a smile across his lips, "Thanks, and no, I'm not giving up. It's just the whole jealous card isn't working and I don't know what to do now."

"If I were in your shoes, I would be straightforward —— direct. Some people are oblivious and need the extra push."

"Thanks, Cece." He sighed, "And thanks for not asking what im doing today. You know my birthday isn't my favorite day."

"I know but if you need anything today, im just a call away. Me and Florence would be there in a heartbeat."

"Much appreciated, friend. Speaking of Florence, might give him a call too."

Cecelia and him said their goodbyes, before he went and called Florence. However, Florence did not answer, in resulting Bryan to get off the couch and prepare another cup of coffee.
