 Chapter 4 - Finale

"Even in his final moments, his love for you is strong and everlasting."

"We're not sure how much longer he has," the doctor informed Seth, a sympathetic expression on his features. "I'm very sorry."

"What? I-I though he was getting better!" Seth exclaimed, feeling his heart race and practically jump out of his chest. "You told me he would be fine!"

"Sir, you need to calm down," his nurse said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Our assumptions have proven to be wrong. We apologize for our mistake."

"We're not sure exactly how much longer he has," the doctor repeated, Seth feeling himself grow annoyed. "If you'd like, you can go say your goodbye."

He pushed past the two of them, rushing to Dean's room. He couldn't believe what he was being told. The love of his life might not make it?! He was completely taken by surprise by the news, making him unable to think straight.

Before he knew it, he was standing in front of his lovers bed, tears rolling down his cheeks as he noticed Dean's irregular breathing pattern. It was if he was struggling and just wanted an end, one Seth was afraid to give him.

Seth didn't want to lose the love of his life. He didn't want to pull the plug and watch Dean slowly fade away. He hated to see Dean suffer and he knew it was selfish, but he didn't want to let go. He still had faith that Dean could get better in time.

Maybe the doctor was wrong and was talking about another patient, Seth thought to himself, hoping it was true.

He swiveled around the chairs and grabbed Dean's hand, holding it in his own. He wanted to be close to Dean if he were to leave him suddenly.

"Hey, come on, talk to me," Dean demanded, grabbing Seth's hands, forcing him to make eye contact. "Don't be like that, baby boy."

"Sorry," Seth sighed, looking down. "I'm just scared of losing you."

"You're not going to lose me to some jackass like Wade Barrett," Dean reassured, kissing Seth softly, backing him against the wall as he deepened it, hearing a pleasure filled groan come from the younger man. "You're mine, Seth. And I'm yours."

"Forever and always?" Seth asked, wrapping his arms around Dean's neck, pulling him closer.

Dean nodded, giving Seth's butt cheek a squeeze. "Forever and always. For infinity and beyond, baby boy."

"I love you so much."

"I love you even more, baby boy."

Seth snapped out of it when Dean started to stir, his face scrunching up. A groan escaped his lip as he rubbed his eyes.

"D-Dean?" Seth stuttered, sniffling as he looked on.

Dean turned his head, staring at the two-toned man beside him. "Seth?" Dean whispered, his eyes roaming the room. "Where am I?"

"You're in the hospital, baby," Seth answered, squeezing Dean's hand. "You've been here for the past month."

"Why?" Dean asked, Seth losing his breath when he saw Dean's baby blue's again. "What's going on?"

"You've been in a coma," Seth teared up. "I'm so sorry, baby. It's all my fault."

"What are you talking about?"

"I curb-stomped you into some cinderblocks and you ended up here," Seth told him, starting to cry. "I'm extremely sorry. Please, don't be mad at me."
