Lucas's POV
We had all picked out our families and were going to talk to Mrs. Huffman and Ms. Portman. They told us we could sign our paperwork for the kids then head to 3rd street where our new apartments are.
There was a LOT of paperwork. There was a six page document with two copies to fill out for each kid. We had to give information, sign our names here, initial there, read this, write that.
It took Maya and I thirty minutes to sign everything for our three children. We waited for Riley and Ryan. Then we all took our kids down to the subway.
The kids all had their own metro cards. It's to be expected considering we live in New York. We road to 3rd and walked up to our apartment building.
It was a tall building. Maybe thirty stories. And every apartment had a balcony. "Let's do this." Maya finally said. We entered the large building and hopped in the elevator
Maya and I are on the seventh floor, Riles is on the sixth, and Farkle is on the eighth. We entered the apartment with the kids and I was impressed by the size.
It was quite large for a place in the city. Spacious and well-lit. We took a look around and started to get comfortable. We were going to be living here for the next year.
We first take Wesley to his room for his nap. It's a cozy nursery and I think it's fitting for him. Maya puts him in the crib and we find the baby monitor on the dresser.

Next, we went to check out Brad's bedroom because he needed to nap too

Next, we went to check out Brad's bedroom because he needed to nap too. He was excited about it and just wanted to play. So we left in to play for a bit.

After that, Cass decided she needed to get a look at her new bedroom

After that, Cass decided she needed to get a look at her new bedroom. She crossed her fingers and announced what she hoped to find behind the door.
"A purple bedroom. I love purple." Then she took a deep breath in and opened the door. Without a word, she smiled and stepped in the door.

"Do you like it honey?" Maya asked her, rubbing her shoulder

"Do you like it honey?" Maya asked her, rubbing her shoulder. "I love it momma. But I think it's your turn to see your bedroom. Come on!"
She grabbed Maya's arm, then mine, and dragged us to our new bedroom door. "Are you ready Mommy and Daddy?" Our new nine-year-old daughter asked us.
We both nodded and she opened the door to our room. "Ta da!!" See exclaimed for us. We looked in awe. It was much nicer than either of us expected.

We decided that now, it was time to make dinner for our first night as a family
