You and Zayn have been together now for a few months and things have been going amazing. you could even say you two are in love. your family thinks you guys are going a little too fast but you two feel like you are going the perfect pace for you guys lifestyles. Zayn constantly reminds you of how much he loves you as if he is afraid you will just get up and leave him.
Today was another one of those days when Zayn was very loving towards you. Zayn and the rest of the boys were leaving for the newest “where we are” tour today and he was going to be gone a little longer than usual for the beginning of the tour.
You were excited for the new tour because you were finally going to be able to see Zayn perform live a few times. however, that wasn’t until later in the tour so for now you have to stay home while Zayn goes on tour.
“ready, babe?” you called from the living room of Zayns apartment. you promised him you would take him to the airport and bid him farewell.
“yeah! i’m coming!” Zayn yelled walking out to the living room with about 3 carry ons in hand. you walked over to him and took one of the carry ons from him.
Zayn smiled and kissed you on the cheek. you nodded your head towards the door, smiling. he nodded and you two left the apartment.
*at the airport*
The car ride was silent, but a comfortable silence. the silence gave you both the opportunity to think about things for a moment.
you were waiting with Zayn in the waiting area near his flight because the rest of the boys hadn’t arrived yet. you were planning on just walking in with him and sharing a short goodbye but because no one else was there, you decided to stay with him a little longer. after all, you wouldn’t be seeing him for a while, it was a good thing for you two to be alone for a moment.
“(y/n)?” Zayn said and you turned your head from out the window where you were watching the plane Zayn would be boarding very soon.
“yeah, Zayn?” you said trying to smile, for his sake instead of your own. you could tell he was rethinking the whole thing.
“i just- i wanted to let you know i’m really gonna miss you these next 2 months we are apart.” he said taking your hand in his and entwining your fingers.
his touch caused your stomach to drop, you had no idea how much you were going to miss Zayn until it hit you that this would be the last time you would be seeing each other for 2 months.
“i’m gonna miss you too,” you paused trying to suck in the tears that were starting to form in your eyes, “just don’t forget about me, okay?”
Zayn had been holding in tears as well, but you hadn’t really noticed until one escaped his eye and trailed down his very prominent cheek bone.
“never.” Zayn said breathing in deeply to keep himself from crying anymore. you wiped the tear off his face right before it reached his neck.
“i love you.” you said pulling him into a hug, his embrace comforting you. he squeezed your waist, making your heart flutter knowing he would soon be gone.
“i love you too, (y/n).” Zayn said pulling out of the hug and kissing you passionately.
you smiled into the kiss and pulled away, knowing you had to cherish this moment. your hands stayed entwined as you sat back in your chairs, waiting for the boys to show up.
“you’ve really stolen my heart, ya know? will i ever get it back?” He asked you with a playful grin on his face, easing the sadness in the room to happiness once again.
“never in your wildest dreams, Malik.” you said smiling back at him, the two of you laughing because you both knew it was true.
you were in love. yeah, it may be going really fast, but it works for the two of you. Zayn being gone a lot and you being busy so often brings you two closer, makes your relationship stronger. you never thought you would be Zayn Malik’s girlfriend and future wife but as Zayn always says, ‘everything happens for a reason.’ and that is exactly the case with you two.

Hey guys! thanks for reading! i know it has been like a week since i have updated, and i'm soooo sorry about that!
But i have a reason! a few actually! First off, i didn't have internet (which you know if you have been reading my status updates). Second, i have been really busy with Volunteering this week, plus i have had my cousins over all week and i had to deal with them. And third, i have been trying to focus on my summer assignments for school because summer is almost over and i am not even half done with the assignments.
Anyways, i hope this imagine was enjoyable for you guys to read, i gave myself feels just writing it! oh and if the lyrics at the top confused you, those lyrics were the inspiration for the imagine because i was running out of ideas and, as you all know, best song ever came out today and i have listened to it non stop all day so i figured it would be cool to use some of those lyrics to help me out here!
