The Fortune Cookie

Chapter 2

Kellin's Point of View

After Alan left I started getting ready. I decided to take a quick shower so I got my clothes from the closet and I went into the bathroom. After a couple of seconds I figured out how to turn on the shower and I put the water to the right temperature. I peeled of all my clothes and I stepped inside. Immediately I was engulfed in warm water. I loved showering with warm water because it relaxes all my sore muscles.

After I finished cleaning my hair and body I turned the water off. I grabbed the towels that were outside of the shower and I dried my hair and body. I stepped out of the tub and I walked back to my room. I quickly put my clothes on and I grabbed my TOMS. I slipped on my shoes and I grabbed my wallet and phone. I stepped out of the room and I walked to the living room. Once I made it there I saw Alan and Austin sitting on the couch making out. I cleared my throat and they separated. Alan's eyes widened.

"Oh my god you look hot!" He exclaimed and Austin hit him on the shoulder.

"Um thanks I guess." I said.

"Well let's go before Vic gets tired of waiting." Austin said and took Alan's hand out the door. We all walked outside to the parking lot and we took Austin's car. We drove to the beach and made it there in 20 minutes. Austin parked the car and we all got out of the car. Austin walked over to a guy with shoulder length brown hair and he tapped his shoulder. Once he turned around he had a huge smile on his face. I was stunned at his beauty. Alan and I walked over to Austin and I think his name was Vic. Once I saw him more clearly I saw that he was utter perfection. He had amazing brown eyes, pouty lips, and an amazing smile. I averted my gaze once he noticed I was checking him out. He smirked and winked at me. I started blushing and I looked down at the floor to hide my blush.

"I'm Vic." He said.

"I knew th- I mean my name is Kellin." I said and he stuck his hand out to shake my hand and I shook his hand.

"Well, I am glad you came because I usually just third wheel." He said and chuckled.

"Yeah I wasn't going to come because I didn't want to third wheel but they said you were coming so I just decided to come." I said and he nodded his head.

"Alright well Kellin, would you like to come and walk around the beach with me?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"Sure why not." I said and we both started walking.

"Kellin!" Alan shouted once Vic and I started walking.

"What?!" I shouted back.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"With Vic, we are going to walk around for a bit." I answered and he wiggled his eyebrows at me. I just shook my head at him and I started walking with Vic once again. Our hands brushed once an a while but I never grabbed his hand and he never grabbed my hand. It was so tempting but I just decided against it.

"So let's play 21 questions." He said and I nodded my head.

"Ok you start." I said and he said ok.

"How old are you?" He asked.

"20, how old are you?" I asked.

"23, what made you come to San Diego?" He asked.

"I went to a Chinese place and my fortune cookie said I was in danger or something like that so I decided to move. It wasn't just that I kind of got tired of living there and I needed a change of place but I didn't plan anything that's pretty much how I met Alan." I said and he chuckled.

"You listened to a fortune cookie?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"Why not?" I said and giggled. After that the night went pretty well we just kept asking each other questions and also laughing at my stupidity. I tripped over something on the sand and I fell to the ground. He burst out laughing and it was the most embarrassing thing ever. I got up from the ground and he was still trying to control his laughter.

"Stop laughing." I said embarrassed. I pouted and I crossed my arms.

"Aww is wittle Kelly mad?" He teased and grabbed my cheeks. I slapped his hands away.

"Did you just call me Kelly?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"Yup it fits you." He said and I raised an eyebrow.

"No it does not I do not look like a girl how does it fit me." I said and not it was his turn to raise his eyebrows.

"No offence but you have a feminine figure." He said looking at me up and down.

"You are the second person who has said that to me today." I groaned.

"Well it's true. So Kellin do you have a boyfriend?" He asked and I looked at him with a smirk on my face.

"Yes." I said. I saw his faced drop and I started laughing.

"I am just kidding." I said still giggling.

"Whatever let's get you home you little butt head." He said and finally grabbed my hand. I intertwined our fingers together and we both walked together to the car. Once we made it to the parking lot I saw Alan and Austin leaning on the car making out.

"Alan I am taking Kellin to your apartment." Vic said and Alan waved us off not breaking the kiss.

"Well ok then." Vic said and we walked to the car. He opened the door for me and I stepped inside the car I bumped my head and I looked at Vic to see if he saw and he did. He shook his head and chuckled. He closed my door and walked over to his side and opened his door. He stepped inside and started the car.

20 minutes later.

We finally made it to Alan's apartment and Vic insisted on taking me all the way to the door. He grabbed the spare key from under the mat and gave it to me.

"So will I see you again?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"Of course, can I have your number?" I asked. He took out his phone and I also took out mine. I gave him my number and he gave me his. After that he kissed me on the cheek and gave me a long hug. Once he left I unlocked the door and I walked to my room. I took off my clothes and shoes and I laid on my bed. I fell asleep after a couple of minutes thinking about Vic.

But I forgot what the little paper had said not to tell anyone and I told Vic. Oh well.
