Love or Heartbreak

Chapter 1

Briar's POV

It was summer break and I was at the beach with my best friends, Brooke, Abbey and Sarah. I was wearing my sky blue bikini and my hair was worn in a head full of curls. The sun was peeking out behind the clouds and it felt cold. "I told you to bring a jumper!" yelled Sarah, who was already in the water. I set out a towel on the soft, damp sand a sat down for a while.

Myles' POV

Me and my friends, Devon, Josh and Tom were all on summer break and had gone down to the beach for a swim. We saw three girls in the water, splashing around and one girl sitting on a towel, rummaging through her bag. Then she yelled, "Brooke, Abbey, Sarah! Did any of you bring a phone? Sarah, I need to tell Mom that we are going to the mall on Saturday and that I can't check out CDC!" Her friends were splashing about and wouldn't listen to her. She grunted, sounding annoyed.

Briar's POV

Suddenly, a handsome looking teenage boy, about my age handed me his phone. I looked up and our eyes locked. I look away and then stand up. My cheeks are as red as a tomato. I hope no one saw!

Myles' POV

I see that her cheeks are red. She looks soooooooooo cute and adorable. I just want to wrap my arms around her. She walks off and dials the number. She starts talking. "Hey Mom, I am calling on someone else's phone. I forgot mine." "That ok, sweetie." her Mom replies. "Umm I am going to the mall on Saturday with Sarah and everyone else. That means I can't go to CDC then." "That's fine, Briar. I will put you on to your father."

Briar's POV

I am talking to my dad for a while. I then hear the boys talking. There shoving each other and punching each other playfully and whispering in to one another's ear. I then hear one of the boys say, "I think she is single, Myles" I give the boy a 'really' smirk and they are all like "Duuude" "I aahhhh should go now. I don't wanna keep Myles waiting. I forgot my phone at home. Byeeee Dad. Love yah." I then hang up and hand the phone to Myles.   

Myles' POV

How did she know my name? Anyway that's not important right now. I am going to ask her to come to the beach tomorrow night because there is a party there and I really want to see her again. "Hey, umm, so there is a party tomorrow night and I was wondering if you would like to come to the party because the party is gonna be really awesome and I think that if you don't come then it would be really boring!" I blurted out. Woops!

Briar's POV

I think he might have feelings for me, but I am just be day dreaming. "I will be there." I say with a smile. "Umm I guess I'll see you later, Myles." "Yeah." he says, not daring to take his eyes off mine. Myles starts walking, but then he turns around. "I never got your name." "Briar." I say in a soft tone.

Myles' POV

What a beautiful name. What a beautiful girl. I can't wait to see her again.
