Casey's P. O. V.

"Hi sweetie! How are you doing?"

I grin, "I'm good, mom. How are you and dad?"

"We're good, baby. Everything is good here. We miss you. "

I sigh, "I miss you guys too. "

"We had Steven over for dinner last night. "

I bite my lip and look at Justin. He isn't in the view of the camera yet. So my mom doesn't know he's here.

"Oh yeah? That's nice. "

"Yeah. He was awfully sad. He misses you. "

I smile, "Mom, you know I ended things with you. And you know I love someone else. Why are you having him over for dinner?"

"Well, we thought it was the right thing to do. So, tell me about Justin. "

I look at Justin and he sits next to me, in view of the camera.

My mom looks shocked, "Oh! Hello!"

Justin laughs, "Hello Mrs. Worthington. It's nice to meet you. "

My mom grins, "Please, call me Lily. It's lovely to meet you. I've heard lots of good things!"

Justin grins, "I'm sure there wasn't all good stuff. "

She smirks, "Actually, it's all been good stuff. Casey hasn't shut up about you since the day she got there. "

I blush, embarrassed, "Mom!"

Justin kisses my cheek, "Don't be embarrassed. It's cute. "

I look at my mom, "We have something to tell you. "

"Yes?"

I hold my hand up, "We're engaged!"

My mom smiles so wide, squealing, "Oh my gosh. Please pose together for a picture, showing the ring, so I can screenshot it and show everyone. "

I laugh as Justin and I put out arms around each other's waist, my hand on his chest, showing the ring. We smile and my mom takes a screenshot.

My mom awhs, "Oh sweetheart. You two are so cute together. Congratulations. I'm happy you're finally happy, Casey. "

I grin, "Thanks mom. "

"So, are you guys coming home soon? To plan the wedding?"

I bite my lip, "Mom, we just got engaged. We haven't even talked about it yet. "

My mom sighs, "It's just, you guys are supposed to be there for a year, right? Couldn't you take a temporary leave and come home?"

I give my mom a small smile, "Mom, we're here to do our jobs. And we're not coming home until that job is done. Look, if it would make you happy, we can plan via FaceTime. But Justin and I want plenty of time to get to know each other's families before we get married."

My mom smiles so wide, "Leave it to me! I'll start planning right away!"

I laugh, "Okay mom. Well, we have to go. I love you. Bye!"

I end the call and look at Justin, "Sorry she's trying to rush the wedding. "

Justin shrugs, "I would marry you tomorrow if I could. "

I laugh again and kiss him, "Me too babe. "
