Chapter 9

Casey's P. O. V.

"Mom, Dad, Justin and I have something to tell you. "

My mom laughs, "More big news!"

I smile and say, "We're having a baby!"

My mom immediately starts crying and smiling. My dad comforts her and laughs. My mom finally composes herself after a few minutes, "Congratulations you guys! Now are you coming home?"

I shake my head, "No. By the time I'm due, our year here will be over. Then we'll be home for awhile while I have the baby. "

My mom smiles, "Alright, can I tell the family? Can I tell your sister?"

I nod, "Of course. I'll keep you updated on everything and send pictures of my growing tummy. "

My mom can't stop smiling, "Okay good. Call me more frequently please. And stay safe. "

Justin kisses my temple, "I'll keep her safe. I'll keep both of them safe. "

"Alright baby, we'll let you guys go."

I wave, "Bye guys! Love you!"

I hang up and hand the laptop to Justin, "Time to call your parents. "

Justin calls them and they answer the FaceTime, "Hey son! Hi Casey!"

I met his parents via FaceTime after we got engaged.

I smile, "Hi guys!"

Justin smiles, "Mom, Dad, we have to tell you guys some exciting news. "

They nod, waiting for Justin to continue. Justin smiles, "Casey is pregnant!"

Julie, Justin's mom, claps her hands to her face, "Justin! Casey! That's wonderful news! Congratulations!"

Justin looks at me then back at his parents, "Thanks. We're happy. So we're not coming home until the baby is due. Because that's when our year here will be over. But we'll keep you updated on how everything is going with the pregnancy. "

I nod, "If you want, I'll call you just as much as I call my parents. "

Julie smiles, "Oh Casey, we would love that. Thank you. "

I grin, "Absolutely. "

Justin sighs, "Well, I'm going to let you guys go. It's dinner time so we don't want to miss it. Bye guys. Love you."

He hangs up and looks at me, "It still doesn't feel real!"

I shake my head, "It really doesn't. "
