'Belief is to a heart just as scent is to a flower.'

I was carrying a bunch of lavenders when I entered the room.
Believing in what might never happen is the toughest thing yet it is enchanting. It's like walking over a rope in dark with nothing to support your untamed hands. You just have the touch of rope as an excuse to believe in that you will meet your desired end in the times when you are most likely to fall. You close your eyes and dive in the ocean ignoring the fact that all you know is how to fly, just to be a part of what doesn't match to your nature. You cut your wrists and provide their pens with your thick blood believing that somewhere, maybe somewhere they will scribble your name in their book.

You do what you promised you'll never do.
'Whatever shit you do to someone never, just never steal their scent. Their ability to believe, their ability to love.'

She carefully took the fragrant flowers from me.
'Have you lost your scent or do you keep it bottled up in your heart?'

I asked with a tinge of interest.
Her face drew into one of her brightest smiles at my question.
'Tell me why are you smiling.'

I asked.
'That day, he took a calm breath and there! I found my scent in the air he exhaled.'

Her eyes glittering with ecstasy on his memory. Her cold cheeks began to burn on the though of him.

'I keep it bottled up, deep in my heart, safe from the contaminated world. It's all what I possess.

Belief. His memories.'
'One day, this belief will betray you in your dire need, You will end up falling off the edge. You will call for it and it will never answer. Be careful.'

I sprayed some water on the flowers to delay their death.
'It will not. I know. This is what has kept me sustaining. It will keep me fragrant till I wither to death. It's a scent bound to stay even with my decomposition. Forever.'

She smiled.
She set all the fragrant lavenders in a vase and placed it in front of the window. The wind exhaled in the house with lavender aroma each time it blew. The aroma of belief.
This is the thing about belief, you follow it blindly and helplessly just like the wind.
