Let's get one thing straight right up front, this was my dad's idea. Totally, compeletly, 100% his idea! I just graudated and the next day he comes and asks, 'hey wanna go be a nanny for the summer?' And,of course, stupid me I say sure. Why, why did I?! So now here I am in the car pulling out of the drive way in my silver Mustang heading off to this unknown house filled with unknown people where I shall spend my summer looking after three small boys and four older ones. Weird enough considering two of them are older then me. I'm mostly going for the smaller ones I assumed. It was a three hour drive from my home town to there house. And when I pulled into the 'U' shaped drive, I was blown away. It wasnt a house, it was a mansion. On the large front porch was the family. Ten boys. Wow. The mother and father were smiling at me along with the two little boys. The last youngest was still a baby. Adorable!
Taking a deep breath, I climbed out of the car. The mother came around to greet me.
"Kacey Row?" she asked,
"Yes ma'am!"
She ran over and hugged me tighly. "I'm Elizabeth or Beth, which ever works."
I smiled, "Nice to meet you,"
"This is my husband, Andrew." she said as he came around.
"Nice to meet you too," I said nicely.
"Kacey it's an honor to have you here," he said shaking my hand.
"Well, come on meet the boys!" Beth said enthusicastly.
She took my hand and lead me to the porch. "Alright oldest to youngest. This is Noah, Blake, Trevor, Austin,ChaceRyan, Flynn, Andy, and Devon," she said pointing to each as she named them. I smiled and waved my hello to them. "Boys this is Kacey,"
Noah stepped forward, "It's nice to meet you."
"You too," I replied.
He returned to place in line. "Blake, Noah please help with Kacey's things."
They nodded and jogged over to my car. I walked over and popped the trunk. I had two large suitcases, one duffle bag, and a backpack. I reached for one of the large suitcases, not realizing how heavy it was till it fell to the ground.
"I'll take this one," Blake said. He had a deep voice and dark hair with bright green eyes.
"Thanks. I didnt know it was that heavy." I said stupidly.
"Didnt you pack it?" he asked.
"Yeah, but my boyfriend helped my load the car before I left." I answered.
He nodded and took my bags inside. Noah grabbed the other big one and my duffle bag. I picked up my bag and slammed the trunk shut. I sighed and followed them inside the house. Okay, the outside was big the inside was massive. I followed Noah up stairs and down a hall to the left. They stopped infront of a door. There hands were full so I opened the door and stepped inside.
The room was amazing. Huge bed with canopy, huge windows looking out onto the gardens in the back, there was a desk in the corner. Huge bookshelves and walk-in closet. I noticed a bathroom as well.
The boys put my suitcases near the bed. I set my bag down as well, "Thanks for your help,"
"No problem," Noah said. Blake just stood there, watching me. I smiled and they left me to unpack. Noah closed the door behind them quietly. Seven boys and then there's me. For the whole summer. Lovely.

After unpacking my things, I headed downstairs to cook dinner. I noticed on my desk was a schedule. Beth and Andrew worked five days a week from seven in the morning to five at night. So during those hours it was up to me to take care of the boys. Mostly Flynn,Andy and Devon. Especially Devon since he was eight months old. Andy was seven, Flynn ten, Ryan fifteen, Trevor sixteen, Austin sevetnteen, Chace also eighteen, Blake eighteen, Jacob nineteen, and Noah was twenty-two. Me, I was eighteen.
I found the kitchen easy enough. Beth had to go to her office and Andrew didnt know who to cook to save his life. (Beth noted it in the booklet.) I decied on something simple for dinner and something I could make a lot of. Spaghetti it is then! Trevor came into the kitchen while I was hunting for a pot.
"Whatcha lookin' for?" he asked leaning on the counter.
"Pot,"I asnwered opening the next cabnit.
He walked over and open a top on, "Over here,"
"Ah!"I said reaching for it, but realized I was too short to get it. Trevor laughed and pulled it down for me.
"Thanks." I said setting it in the sink to fill with water. "Know where I can find some spaghetti noddles at?"
"The store," he said laughed.
"Your joking right?"
"Nope. Noah does the shopping and cooking since mom is rarly home to cook. So we dont have ediable food have the time. The last time he made spaghetti it was a disater so we told him he's not allowed to buy or make it ever again," he explained.
"Well, would you like to come with to pick some up?" I asked grabbing my keys.
"Sure!" he said running to find shoes. Crazy kid. I went upstairs to get my purse, by beloved Coach purse, and headed to the porch. My car was still out front. Trevor was already in the passenger seat.
"Your car is awesome!" he said as I climbed in.
"Thanks?" I said laughing. Sure it was a nice car, but hey who cares.
"Think I could drive?" he asked with a big smile.
"Do you even have your permit?" I asked.
"I have my liences actually,"he said proudly.
"Well, maybe you can on the way home," I said.
"YES!" he shouted pumping his fists.
I laughed at him. We hurried to the store and found the noodles. I paid and headed home. Trevor climbed into the driver's seat. "Now you be careful with my baby. Understand me?"
"Got it," he said. I have to admitt he was a very good driver. Very foucsed. I was impressed. After we got home I quickly made dinner with Trevor's help.
"BOYS! DINNER!" I yelled up the stairs. There were bangs and then many foot steps as they came running down to the dinning room. Trevor had kindly set the table for me. Everyone took there seats.
"Where's Devon?" I panicly asked looking around.
"He's in his room," Andy calmly answered.
"What?!" I exclaimed.I jumped up and ran to get him. I opened his room to see him sitting on the floor playing with some kind of toy. "Come here," I picked him up and carried him downstairs. "You guys can'y just leave a baby alone like that," I put Devon in his high-chair and grabbed his dinner off the counter. Everyone started eating and arguing, even food throwing was involved.
After that I about had it with them, "Stop it now! This is ridiculous! You will clean all this up, got it?"
"Yes ma'am," they all said in unison. Devon started crying so I picked him up started rocking him. He stopped drying and started giggling. He grabbed my oval locket and played with it. Devon fell asleep in my arms so I took him up to his room and laid him down.He looked so peacefully and cute.
The door creaked open and Blake came in, "We're finished cleaning the kitchen,"
"Thanks,"I whispered.
"And we're sorry about making the mess in the first place,"he said.
I walked away from the crib and over to him. I set my hand on his shoulder gently and smiled. He gave a small one in return. I left and headed to my own room.
