Beautiful, Unbroken Memory

When day ended,
And the stars came out,
And the pale moonlight filled the air,
All I felt and saw was the darkness swimming through me,
Hungry for my emotion.

Then one day,
I notice the light of something beautiful,
Giving out graceful music to make any spirit happy.

I thought you were an illusion,
A haze in my imagination,
A bright shadow in the dark.

But no... your blue eyes stared into mine,
Silently,
Haunting my very being with an overwhelming happiness.

The garden in Paris made of stone,
Could never match the water's of the emotion I feel,
No longer alone.

When we are together,
A yellow fire engulfs our being,
which arose from us,
Quickly and quietly,
So graceful,
So beautiful.

When not having your prescense near me,
The wasteful animal inside of me takes over,
Like an illness,
Praising the dark that overcomes me.

I disappear into a pattern of emptiness and fear,
Wanting desperately to see the day again,
Not alone... and finally unbroken.

Your embrace surrounding me,
arose me from the Evil place,
Your eyes staring into mine,
With a thoughtful and caring nature,
Escaping me from the sadness.

Realizing that you were always the first memory when going into my slumber,
Fills me with not fear that you are there... but the fear,
Of losing you.

Always be the best memory,
And always be the memory I fall back on,
When I need it most.

Be... my Beautiful, Unbroken Memory.

(This is my first poem I have ever written, for English class, that I was really proud of writing. Hope you enjoy)
