My phone vibrated as I checked it I seen DJ my boyfriend was calling.
"Hello" I answered
"Ayee come down, I got some good news" he said happily into the phone
"Ight I'm on my way"I said hanging up
I got off bottom half of the bunk bed and peaked up at my 3 year old cousin, sleeping peacefully. I turned the tv off and went to my mamma's room to let her know I was leaving. I knocked lightly before she answered
"Ma I'm bout to go with DJ for a minute" I said her faced frowned up
"Baby I thought you were going to look at colleges at the library today"She said, that totally slipped my brain
"I will after okay I promise"I said kissing her cheek
"You better" she said chuckling
She was the best mother ever honestly, and my motivation. The reason I want to go to college is so I can make her proud and one day be able to move her out of the ghetto and In to a big house.
I left out the door and went down the stairs of the building fortunately no one was around, however most people don't bother me because I'm Dj's girl and he sells drugs for this dangerous wealthy man Red. Anyways I got to the parking lot and went to Dj's car getting in on the passengers side.
"Guess what"he said smiling ear to ear
"What" I said
"I'm taking over"he said proudly
" Taking over what" I asked confused
"Taking over everything, these streets going to be mine, Red is leaving the game and passing all his things to me even his house," he said rubbing his hands together
"Are you serious"I said shocked
"Yes and I want you to come live there with me, and we gonna get yo mamma a place for her and yo lil cousin" he said grabbing my hand
"DJ I don't know" I said I didn't want to live with someone I didn't love, well I don't think I do, I don't even know what love is
"What you mean you don't know"he said smacking his lips
" DJ it's a lot to take in, everything is happening so fast"I said
" You just being a little-(gco by phone )....yo.. Ayyee sound good...and her friend too..bet"he said before hanging up the phone
"I'll talk to you later" he said looking the other way I guess that was his way of dismissing me
"Whatever"I said chuckling knowing he was going somewhere with other females. Sometimes I wonder why I'm even with him, and that's why I'm skeptical about moving with him.
