Choosing Ceremony

"Hello? Is this on?" the circus lady asks as she taps the microphone, "welcome everyone to the annual choosing ceremony, her is a video from president snow"

The lights around us dim bit and the video plays, gale and i see it everywhere. We know each word, we both look at each other and start to mouth the words.

After a bit the lights flash back on, "oh, i just love that" the lady smiles and clasps her hands. "Alright, now for the boy and girl choosen tributes, ladies first" we watch, carefully as the ladie walks to the girls jar.

She shuffles around the papers than grabs one, she unfolds it as she walks to the microphone again. "Carisma Lovettí" she speaks.

My body freezes, i gulp i look for Carisma. "Car." i whisper. "Carisma Lovettí?" she asks once again. I watch as an opening appears and i see car. She walks forward "Come on dear" the ladie insists

"Car, Carisma! Car" i yell trying to leave my group as im getting held back by the peace keepers. "Carisma! Stop! I volunteer! I volunteer! "I scream. Silence everywhere i straighten myself and nod "I volunteer as tribute" i say once again.

"Oh well, thats a first." the lady smiles i watch as Carisma runs and hugs me than is pulled off me by Gale. I slowly walk to the stage and i get to the lady "Okay what is your name?"
"Selena Lovettí"
"Oh i take that is your sister?"
"Yes"
"Well, District 12, Selena Lovettí" clapping is heard all around me, i just stare at them all, what ive done to keep my sister alive.

I watch as the lady walks to the guys jar and quickly grabs one and walks to the microphone again "Cameron Dallas" she says

Some people move and i see a tall, tan brown eyed-hair boy walk towards the stage. He climbs it, slowly though shocked. "This years anual hunger games tributes for district 12!" the lady yells into the microphone.

I watch as everyone lays three fingers together, they kiss their fingers than raise them up whistling. I tear up, than pushed. I get pushed towards the door"Car! Car i love you!" i yell as i get pushed through the doors and they slam.

The door opens to the room im sitting in, visiting. "10 minutes" the peace keeper says as i see my mom and sister.

I run to them and hug them, tears of course. "Here" cat sniffles as she hands me the mockingjay from earlier "thank you" i reply as i hug her than go to my mom.

"Dont shut carisma out, you have to be a mom dont be like when dad passed away. Dont cry" i say as my voice cracks and hug her.

The door opens, the peace keeper drags them out"Selena! Selena no!" carisma yells "car its okay go carisma" i cry as the door shuts.

I catch my breathe and the door swings open again, Gale. "You have yo keep them safe gale. Please" i beg and he nods ad he hugs me tightly "I will Selena i promise"
"Im scared gale"
"I know" i kiss gales lips and hold his face, the door swings open and someone pulls gale out of the room.

I cover my face and cry, what did i do?

On the train me and the boy, Cameron wait for our mentor and the circus lady.

"I'm Cameron Dallas" the boy smiles
"I heard" i reply and he nods
"Anyways, hopefully we can work together"
"Which will in the end screw us both over because either way one of us will die" i smirk and he does a laugh in disbelief
"Wow, okay way to bring negative energy into the room"
"Okay, why are you so happy to be in the games?"
"Happy? Who said im happy?"
"I-" i get cut off as the door opens
"Hi dears, Im Effie and this is Haymitch, your mentor" she says with a smile
"Well arent you two just lucky." Haymitch laughs pouring liquor into a glass, obviously the aftermath of the games took their poll among him.

"Hi, Cameron Dallas" the guys stands Haymitcj looks at him and nods "Right" haymitch takes a gulp of his drink and looks at me "you?"
"Selena Lovettí" i reply and he smiles "The volunteered tribute, sweet"

"Selena looked!" cameron shakes me awake from the couch on the train, i get up and look out the window. I see crowds of people watching us enter what seems like the capital.

"Their here, for us" cameron laughs being amazed. I look at Effie "Who is all in the Games?" i ask amd she nods. She grabs a remote and turns the TV on names and pictures of the girl and guy in each district pop up.

"Mahogany and Nash District 1, Nia and Sammy District 2, Katherina and Carter District 3, Kristen and Matt District 4, Vanessa and Colby District 5, Sahalia and Jack J District 6, Aspen and Taylor District 7, Lycia and Hayes District 8, Chloe and JC District 9, Lilly and Jack G District 10, Blair and Nate District 11, and than us, 12" i say and Effie nods

"Yep, anyways the train is about to stop. Get ready for tonight, you go on Ceaser show, which im sure you know about" Effie smiles

"Yes" i reply as i look out seeing many things, people shouting and laughing.
