Chapter 4

The Break Out

    Missy looked at the open door and wondered if she should just run.
    "Peter? What would you do if someone you cared about-ran away?" Missy asked trying not to give too much information.
    "I'd go with them." He turned up from his homework to look at her. Missy smiled and went back to staring out the door. Maybe I should go. Thought Missy.
    "It also depends who's running away. And what their reason is." Continued Peter not looking up from his homework.    
"Oh." Said Missy. She heard something loud. Like a scream. As if Peter read Missy's mind, they ran up the stairs to Niroga yelling at her father.  This is what Missy heard.

          Niroga: "You never care about me any more!"
          Mr. Oaks: "Well if you don't want me in you're life then go live with Emery or Jenny!"
         Niroga: "Ever since mom died you never pay attention to anyone else but me!"
         Mr. Oaks: "You remind me of her. I can stop. I can even return Missy to that orphanage            
         of hers!
         Niroga: "Really?"

That was the end.
     "No! If you-" started Peter. Missy stepped forward and covered Peter's mouth with her hand. She pulled him out of the room and down the stairs.
     "We have to go. And if you want come with me. If you don't, please don't tattle on me." Said Missy. She herbed his hand and pulled him into the butler's cleaning closet. "I'm gonna run away. Live in the woods. I'm looking for my real family. And I have a feeling they'll like me better than these people ever would."
     "What about me?" Asked Peter. He looked serious.
     "They might want you? I dunno! I just know I need to find them." Missy looked at Peter.
     "I'm in."
