Twelve AM.

That was all the time Acelia needed. If the police couldn't play her game, then she was going to have to just reveal herself. Not that the stench of her victim's skin bothered her, but the disguise was going to wear out its usefulness. Nobody would suspect that an innocent twenty six year old woman had brutally murdered someone.

As she checked the clock on the wall, a twisted grin stretched across her face, ripping some of the fake skin around the mouth. She just had a wonderful thought. What if her favorite vigilante came after her?

Oh, Captain Watson, I do enjoy your company, She thought.

Captain Jack Watson was always a delightful man. He always displayed the most heartfelt reactions to her artwork. Acelia remembered the time when he saw her display of his five year old daughter's limbs in the form of a beautiful "W" for Watson. Looking back on that memory, she smiled.

It would be foolish to say she would kill to see him again because she would do that for pleasure. However, that was the case. The more serious transgressions would attract him and his squad, so she would have to raise the bar.

Her thoughts were interrupted by heavy footsteps pounding the floor. Considering that she was in an isolated classroom in the abandoned school, the police squadron that barged in would easily suspect her to be the murderer. Her violet eyes gleamed with joy through the skin mask.

This is the moment I've been waiting for!

The wooden door violently crashed down with a loud crack. A single police officer stood at the doorway, pistol in hand. He was a large man, about six feet tall.

Hmm, only one piece of fresh meat. Where's my other prey? Acelia was rather disappointed that only one cop arrived.

The police officer locked his eyes on to her, aiming his pistol at her. "Miss, what are you doing in this abandoned building?"

Acelia could easily detect the fear in his voice. No idea why they hired him, but he'd have to do. "Hello officer," She slowly walked toward him, taking her sweet time, "I'm part of the cleanup crew."

"Dressed like that? I don't think so." He nodded his head down to the ragged trenchcoat she was wearing.

It was entertaining to see this pathetic man's facade of courage. She decided to play along. "Please, officer. You have to understand-"

"Ma'am, do you know who's responsible for that murder on the beach not too long ago?" He kept his finger on the trigger of his gun. Acelia noticed a bead of sweat trickling down his temple.

No use in playing along now. "Actually, yes I do," The loose skin on the mask tore slightly from her grin, "As a matter of fact, we were just talking. Would you like for me to get her?"

"Yes ma'am, that would be appreciated. And you are aware that you may be taken in for questioning since you are an associate." The officer explained, his aim focused on Acelia.

"Of course we are," Acelia chuckled lightly. While the officer was still staring, she ripped the skin mask from her real face, which was stained with dried blood. With a single motion, she tore the trenchcoat away to reveal her actual attire. She donned a scarlet red nano-fiber, skin tight suit. Her boots and gloves were a dark purple color, matching the gauntlets on her wrists.

"You finally found me, officer." She lightly clapped her hands together, congratulating the cop for winning her game.

"Gotcha!" The cop's finger squeezed the trigger, firing off a single bullet.

With light speed, Acelia caught the bullet in her mouth by biting down on it. Her tongue scooped it up and took it down her throat. Ultimately, she swallowed the bullet with ease.

"Sometimes I believe the phrase 'eat lead' was meant for me." She joked, licking her lips.

"Wha-what are you!?" The frightened cop, now trembling, backed away to the wall. He was about to pull the trigger on his pistol again, but before he could even think about it, the gun was jammed. He looked and saw that she had thrown a kunai into the barrel.

"That won't be necessary, officer. There's no need to shoot me." Acelia pulled out a double bladed knife from a strap on her thigh. Slowly but menacingly, she advanced toward the officer, who realized it was pointless using his gun.

The terrified cop tried to call in backup. "Request for backup, request for-"

A quick slit to the throat and he was speechless. Acelia watched with pleasure as he choked and gurgled on his own blood. His eyes widened, fear reflected in them. He grabbed for his throat to stop the bleeding, but it was too late. He fell to his knees, signaling his near death.

A single thud and it was over. Acelia placed her double edged knife back in her thigh strap. "Hopefully they didn't start the party without me." She stepped over the dead cop and walked through the empty doorway.

The school hallways were dimly lit, the ceiling lights flickering on and off. Broken desks and chairs lay trashed against the bloodstained walls. The shadows casted an eerie aura, especially in the corners. Posters of children's books indicated that this was an elementary school before the slaughter. Whenever the lights flicked on, the dead bodies of small children could be seen.

Acelia's eyes swept the halls for any prey. Silence screamed throughout the wide corridor, Acelia's breaths the only sound alive. Despite finding only bodies and destruction, she caught sight of something particularly interesting.

"I was wondering where I put these," She pulled a slender katana out of a young boy's back and another out of a girl, "I would never leave my babies." Satisfied with her find, she placed each katana on either side of her waist strap.

Continuing down the bloody halls, she caught sight of the front double doors of the school. She narrowed her eyes and, through the glass panels, barely made out the glowing lights of police sirens.

Well, at least they got all the decorations up, She grinned coldly, Could use a little more red though. With homicidal intentions running through her twisted mind, she stepped over corpses and splintered wood until she faced the double doors.

"Please don't disappoint me, Watson," She grabbed up an M24 sniper rifle in the corner, "You know you're my favorite toy." Strapping the rifle to her back, she pushed the doors open to reveal hundreds of cops and their cars all gathered together. In the front was Captain Jack Watson with a megaphone in his hand.

"Acelia Rose, you are under arrest by the order of the NYPD!" He shouted, his voice echoing across the city. He held a handgun in his other hand, his finger resting on the trigger.

Acelia's tongue swept her lips. Demonic blood was coursing rampantly through her veins. She took out her two katanas from her waist strap, prepared for the slaughter.

"Let the games begin."
