Soulmate

I strongly believe everyone in life has a soulmate,
They have a specific person to be theirs.

It'll be the little things you learn to appreciate

Like holding you when you're crying into their chest at two in the morning.
Warning you that the next shot you take isn't a good idea, but reminding you to put your hair up when you do it and regret it later.
Checking up on you throughout the day to make sure you're okay.
Knowing what you're thinking just by looking at the expression on your face.
Not judging you when you mess up, but finding ways to help fix you it instead.
When your sobs are interrupted by their phone call just so their voice can distract you from what's going on inside your head.
Singing Disney songs until the early hours of the morning.
The endless piggy back rides because you're too lazy to walk.
Being terrified of the blackmailing pictures they have of you that they constantly threaten to show to the boys you like.

You grow together.

They learn your facial expressions and the thought process behind each one.
They grab your hand to let you know that they're there when something happens that other people might not understand.
They know when you don't quite seem yourself, even over text message.
They learn not to get mad at you for the things you can't control.
They learn to catch you when you see them for the first time in a while and jump into their arms.

Best friends are one thing, but soulmates are completely different. You have the other half of me, and I to you,
there's absolutely no way anything could ever happen to us with a bond like that.

Next time you look in the mirror and don't find that you're good enough, know that you'll always be good enough for me,
and that I wake up every single morning glad to know that I have someone like you to protect the other half of me.
