Brantley's POV: by SPaige0615
"Better?" I asked Lila when I pulled back. She licked her lips and nodded, a grin on her face. "No, it's not like the movies. I can shift anytime I like, although it's more intense on and around a full moon. Yes, I know other wolves. My biker buddies are all wolves. It's a Lycan-only MC. No, we don't live in a pack in the traditional sense. I'm around 180 years old, and no, you can't turn from being bitten by one of us. You have to be born with it." I paused long enough to make sure she was still with me. "I haven't ready any wolf romances, so I couldn't tell ya." I chuckled. Lila blushed. "But yes, I figure that's probably why I growl so much. As for the storms, I can smell them. Sense them. Emotions too. As an Alpha, I'm extremely protective. Possessive and territorial like you wouldn't believe. Everyone in my family carries the wolf gene, but my father and Inare the only ones to shift. As a wolf, I have a much longer lifespan than a human. When a human mates with a wolf, they gain the gene in order to provide pups.. Babies, I mean.. And to live along side their mate... Spouse, you'd call them." I explained further. "Oh... Wow. Ok." Lila sipped her tea, processing all I had told her. She froze with the mug halfway to her mouth, and turned to me with red cheeks and wide eyes. "Did you say you could sense my emotions... Like.. What I'm feeling?" I nodded. "All the time?" Her cheeks got really red. I smirked darkly and nodded. Leaning in and nuzzling just behind her ear. She trembled and I smelled her pheromones spike. I growled at her and she whimpered. Chuckling darkly I tugged her into my lap and kissed her again. Her knees sat alongside my hips, and she pressed into me, her back arching. I kissed her one last time and pull back. "As for merging the wolf and the man, it's not a split personality thing. Easiest way to explain it is we share a soul. We're one. Not two separate beings. We just have different physical forms. The man, and the animal." I explained. Lila burst into giggles. I quirked an eyebrow. "I get it now, remember at the hospital? That comment you made about everyone having a little animal in them? That makes so much more sense now." She giggled again. I smiled and kissed her once more. "Brantley?" She asked tentatively. "Yes angel?" I burried my nose on her neck. "My God you always smell so good." I growled. She purred. "Can you shift for me? I wanna see, since I'm not liable to pass out this time." She asked sweetly. I set her to the side easily and stood, stepping back and shifting. It came as natural as breathing to me. I stretched out my muscles, shook out my coat and howled one good time. Lila stood and walked over, hesitantly reaching out to touch me. Sitting down, I was nearly eye level with the tiny woman. I edged forward and nuzzled her hand, showing her it was ok. "Beautiful..." She whispered in awe. She cupped my snout in both her hands, locking her eyes to mine. I shifted then, and her hands stroked my beard as I tugged her in for another kiss.
