Chapter Two: A Life Once Again?

Everything is blurry and there are objects all around me. Everything is quite but slowly I’m hearing noises. The noise is getting louder and soon I recognized the sound to be voices. My sight is now clear and I see the objects are just a bunch of humans starring down at me in concern. Starring down at me? Wait, why am I on the ground? Quickly jumping to my feet, afraid that I’ll get attacked knowing that vampires are never caught off guard. Then I start to realize that I fainted. “Did I just past out?” I asked out loud trying to confirm the impossible. Roger the human that was talking to me earlier answered me. “Yes, Zorteliah. Are you alright?” what a dumb question I thought. “Ye-yes, I believe so.” Now thinking about why I fainted. No I wasn’t okay. I just saw my dead fiancé!!! I was no longer paying attention to the people asking me if I needed to sit down or if I needed a drink of water. I was searching the crowd for Arigo. Where is he? Or did I just imagine he was here? That’s not possible though. I have never had a mirage about him or imagined he was anywhere. How can I get them now from all the years that have passed by? Am I losing it? And when did vampires faint?? I quickly got up and ran to the school’s closest exit. I need to go home and think things through.

Once I was home, I began to cry (yes vampires can cry). I felt so much pain again! I miss him dearly that just thinking about him was unbearable. He was my life, my everything! When he was murdered life meant nothing to me and it still doesn’t. Maybe I am going crazy. Crying for hours and being depressed, I finally decided it was time to eat. Whenever I get depressed I eat. A lot. I need to go out to eat and drink. It’s time for me to go on a killing spree. >:)

I waited for it to be midnight so the streets can no longer be busy and I can prey on a small group of humans without any witnesses. The group only contained 6 males; very easy to take down. All I had to do was snap some necks, break a few legs and eat and drink them dry. Yet, I was still thirsty. I guess I cried myself dry. I left the bodies not really caring if anyone saw them. No one can point to me and said I did it. I’m only a seventeen year old girl ;) . A few blocks down there was another small group of humans. They were in front of a pub. Yum. I love humans with a bit of alcohol on the side. :D . I approached the humans calmly not looking at all like I was going to kill them. There was two girls and two boys. Hmm. A double date? Wonderful. :D . As I got closer to them, I stopped dead in my tracks. In front of me was Arigo! My instincts kicked in and I kissed him. I kissed him as if I was dying and he was the last bit of blood in the world. It was a very urgent kiss but it didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel like a kiss me and Arigo has ever shared. I pulled away in confusion. I was about to cry until I saw his face expression. Arigo had different emotions flashing across his face. He looked surprised, happy, in awe and dumfounded. I tried to speak but I sounded stupid and kept on stuttering. “Ar-Ar-Ari-go…I missed you soo much!” The teens around us started to laugh except one girl. Soon Arigo was laughing too. I was bewildered! “How dare you laugh?! Do you think this is funny?! Arigo I haven’t seen you in centuries! And you’re supposed to be dead!!! And all you can do is laugh?!” Arigo finally talked “I’m sorry babe, my name isn’t Arrigoo-’’ “Its Arigo!” I cut in. “Yeah whatever. I’m not the person you are looking for, but… I am willing to accept another kiss because that little trick you did with your tongue was amazing. You’re a real good kisser.” He winked at me and then smirked. I smacked him but not hard enough to knock off his head. But I wish I did. Arigo or whoever he is, was on the floor laughing. Despite the fact that I just smacked him to the ground; the drunken fool was laughing! I never felt so insulated! I was really mad and wanted revenge for him making me look like an idiot! I am a vampire and humans are lower than us. He will pay greatly for this! >:) . I started to close in on one of the girls. I could just simply end her pathetic life now!!! Instead I had a better idea. I walked closer to the girl that looked absolutely terrified now and compelled her. I gave her instructions in her head to kill the other girl and the other guy but leave “Arigo” to watch them all die. I smiled at myself. Yes, he’s going to pay for his insolence. I walked away quietly and crossed the street. In the distance you can hear blood curdling screams. My smile widen. I am the best. :D
