I have a story to tell. Some people call it a tall tale. But, I know they are wrong. I know that this isn't just a myth. How do I know? I know because their legend still lives on today. I know that once, in the land of Genock, there lived a mighty team of warriors known as, The Savers.

Zoe and Trevin Rife woke up early that morning to go gather food for their family. They were twins that had to learn to survive for their selves at an early age. When they went outside the sun was just peeking out over the treetops of the forest surrounding their village. Zoe always thought it was a beautiful sight. The way fog would curl in between the trees on misty days. And the way the shadows seemed to reach to you in a private, secluded way. It seemed to say 'I am mysterious'. On their way through their village of Nagent, a small place with thatched roof cottages and rocky roads, they saw their friend Cade Nutt.

"Hi, Cade!" Zoe shouted. Trevin silenced her with a stern look. He always acted older even though it was only by a minute or so.

"Do you want to wake the whole village?" He asked her irritated. She just stuck her tongue out at him and ran to meet Cade.

"Hi, Cade.” She said again, flipping her long black hair, a trait she shared with her brother.

"Hi, Zoe." Cade said amusement showing on his face pale-freckled face. He enjoyed being around the twins. They have been friends since they were babies. "Are you two going to gather food?"

"Yes. We have to hurry before all the good meat is gone." Trevin replied, joining his sister and friend.

"Well, good luck!" Zoe smirked at Cade.

“You know we don't need luck." She waved good bye and ran towards the forest, Trevin doing the same soon after. Once in the forest the twins went into complete predator mode. Zoe let Trevin take the lead because he was the best at finding and tracking the prey. Trevin soon spotted a deer. It was grazing in a patch of grass. It's eyes so black but somehow, gleemed with light and inteligence. It's silky fur shone when the deer stepped into patches of light. Trevin slowed down so Zoe could catch up. Then she would make her move. She snuck up behind the deer and grabbed her weapon of choice, a bow and arrow in this case and cleanly shot the deer once. Sure that it was dead, the twins started to drag the deer back into the village.

On the way back Trevin suddenly stopped. He cocked his head to the side as if listening to something. Then he slowly put down the deer and motioned for his sister to follow him. They made their way to the left side of them into a little clearing. The clearing was bright and happy, with flowers blooming all around. Zoe put her bow in ready. Before she good shoot she got a better look at her target. What she saw was a small girl with blond hair. She had no shoes on and was playing with a small, rust-colored fox. Zoe put her weapon away and ran to the girl. The girl heard Zoe approach and turned to face Zoe. When she saw who it was her face alighted with joy.

"Fawn! I haven't seen you for ages! I almost killed you! You shouldn't run around in the woods like that." Zoe exclaimed. The girl, Fawn, stood up in a graceful manner, and went to hug Zoe. Fawn Bello was a petite girl. She has blonde hair that floats around her face and big, blue eyes that gives her an angelic look. She is one year younger than Zoe and Trevin.

"I'm sorry, Zoe. I had to see Christopherson." Zoe looked confused so Fawn explained. "The fox.”

"Oh! I understand, but you still shouldn't wander around. You don't know what dangers await you in the forest."

Fawn sighed, “Okay. Where is your brother?" Zoe turned and pointed to Trevin, who was still at the edge of the clearing.

"He's waiting over there." Trevin waved. “Well, I better get going. Are you coming Fawn?"

"No. I think I will stay over here for a while."

"Well... okay but be careful!"

"I will." Zoe turned and sprinted towards her brother. She turned around to give one final wave to Fawn, but the petite girl had already disapeared.

When they got back into the village they ran in to Elias Wood. The Rife twins and Elias have never gotten along even though they have known each other for years."Ugh, a sight for sore eyes." Trevin complained at the sight of Elias.

"Look who’s talking. At least I don't have to catch my own food." Elias sneered, his dark eyes glinting with a slight look of mischief. At that Zoe lunged at Elias. Trevin grabbed her before she made contact. She was already a trouble maker and Elias' parents were important people. "You better watch out. I could have you executed with a bat of my eye."  Zoe knew he wasn't lying. Elias' parents were high up in status on the Village Council. One wrong move and he would go crying to daddy. Elias smoothed down his light brown hair, even though it hadn't been disurbed in the slightest and with that last statement Elias walked away.

"I really hate that guy..." Zoe complained to her brother.

"I know. I do, too. But sometimes you just have to deal with stuff like that." They both sighed in unison. The rest of their walk home was a normal one. That is, until the bombs started.
