《 SERGIOS P.O.V 》
"So you're both okay?" Cristiano asked from the other end of the line.
"Yeah." Sort of.
"Thank God!"
"Sonya's in a bad condition though. She has a deep cut near her ribs and a few scratches from loose branches."
"Oh no, you want me to send help over or--"
"And that would somehow be leaked to the media, creating attention. But thanks for the thought though I wouldn't have minded flying in your private jet."
He chuckled before cussing in his mother tongue at me.
We chatted for a while, talking about; the usual things guys talk about, how the boys were and preparation for the first upcoming groupstage match for the UEFA. There would be training sessions starting in next week. With all this concentration on football, I don't know when I will be able to go forward with the plan. But I was also glad to finally be able to head back on the field after a seasons break then it was time for things to get serious. Cris kept asking questions about Sonya and I kept trying to brush it off by giving a one sentence reply even though he had other things to worry about like the important conference he is going to be attending in half an hour.
Cristiano sighed with discontent. "Alright,"
I was headed down the staircase as the smell of baked goods made my stomach grumble. "What?" I queried at Cristiano's sudden change of mood. I turned the corner when I was suddenly distracted by Sonya's laughter coming from the kitchen.
"Whats really going on between you and Sonya?"
I wasn't sure at this point about whether it was Cristiano's question or Sonya who was throwing me off guard at that moment.
Sonya was seated on the stool on the marble island counter as she conversed with Alice who was busy in the kitchen. Sonya's hair was loosely tied in a high pony tail and I admired they way a few escaped hair strands carelessly fell around her exotic featured face, giving her a softer appearance.
"Hello?!" Cris exclaimed into my ear and I flinched abit, making Alice and Sonya turn to look at me.
"S-sorry." I said to them. Making Alice chuckle in amusement but Sonya kept her head down not daring to look at me again.
I excused myself before turning back around to head towards the balcony.Cris has known about Sonya ever since I could remember. He had never met her before but somewhere in our conversations I may or may not have slipped in the subject of 'Sonya' and 'Childhood torment'. So he was thrilled to find out that I found my childhood enemy in the centre of a town who, must I not miss, ran from me. So since then he's been so interested in knowing the next topic of Sonya entering my life again.
"What do you mean whats going on between me and Sonya?" I asked once I was outside, almost annoyed yet confused.
"I dont know you tell me. I just get this real gutt feeling that you two had some type of massacre battle AND you're also trying to avoid anything I ever say about her." He informed.
I groaned before rubbing my face with my hand. "Is it that obvious?"
"Look Sergio, it's simple. Do you like the girl or not?"
"You asked me that three weeks ago, Cris."
"Hey, alot can change in three weeks."
Was he being ridiculous?
