Chapter Four

"I want that one...no NO! Not that one! The one on the left, yep...yep..." Kise's face was a mask of sternness as he concentrated on the soft toy Sui wanted him to pick up.

The long metallic grippers landed on the pastel-coloured toy and with one press of the button, the gripper raised up holding the toy by it's arm. Sui let out a silent squeal—she was witnessing a toy getting pulled up for the first time in these machines. Just as the gripper was transporting the toy to the hole, the toy slipped through the metallic claws and back into the pile of toys. The two teenagers groaned in unison, Sui shooked her head as Kise scratched his hair.

"Fine, don't worry about it—you already wasted 1000 yen on it anyway." Sui waved off as she turned to look at other games available. She didn't walk far when she felt Kise's tug on her arm.

"Suicchi! Why don't we try that one out-ssu?" Kise suggested, pointing to the dance board where a couple was competing against each other, their eyes not leaving the screen that instructed them the next arrows their feet needed to land on. The idea repelled the blue-haired immediately—she disliked games that was attention-receiving and dancing happened to be one of those.

"C'mon! It will be fun!" Kise nagged, Sui was still reluctant.

"Please?" the blonde begged, fearing that she might be too much of a party pooper, Sui relented. The moment the couple was off, Sui and Kise dumped their bags by the side and stepped up.

Kise looked at the options on the screen and brightened, "Why don't we have a dance battle Suicchi?" he suggested. Sui sighed, she was about to reject the proposal before thinking that since she was already here, she should at least make the experience a bit more interesting. Slowly, she nodded. Kise smiled happily and mischievously set the level to hard before starting the game.

A list of songs popped up and Sui halted upon seeing the unfamiliar song names, Kise seemed strangely familiar.

"Oh, I guess I will pick Kings by Angela, then...Sister's Noise by fripSide, they are pretty catchy, what about you?"

Sui stared blankly at the options, "I don't know, Kise-kun, do you have any suggestions?" Kise shooked his head.

"No, you should choose it yourself ssuyo!" he smiled, Sui bit her lip and continued to scroll through the options. Sui hastily chose Growl sang by EXO upon seeing the first familiar song among the list. She continued to scroll down until she came across another song written in katakana with slightly decent background and swiftly picked that as well.

Kise who was watching Sui pick her songs widened his eyes upon seeing the blue-head's options.

"Growl is good...but Quartet Night?" he commented with a smirk, Sui immediately knew something was wrong.

"Wh-What? Is it bad?" before Sui could go back and change, Kise has already started the match.

"Don't worry—you'll see!"

Worries slowly come and kiss, tell me what's your name.

Sui gulped at the complicated arrangement of dance steps but Kise stood confidently with a calm expression on his face. Upon seeing the arrows sail down the screen, he moved with excellent execution of timing and got PERFECT for his first steps while Sui just managed to scrap by with a GOOD. Upon seeing Sui's awkwardness, Kise patted her on the arm as a sign of encouragement.
