Heavenly Mess"Where is that girl? I told her the there's a meeting today!" Sandy growled. She wore her special sky blue gown that sparkled in the sun today. Her wings were all fluffed. I hid in the olive trees, watching her closely with absolute silence.
Today is a meeting day with Zeus and Hera about guiding human souls to heaven, so they could recarnate into another life. We had these meetings a gazillion times. Not a single difference in them.
I wore my silk dess that's two inches above the knee, which was what most angels despised. Zeus, however, said there wasn't a dress code for angels as long as we don't wear red or black. My hair and eyes were the only exception of red and black. All angels had gold, silver, or brown hair, but I was the only one with black. They all had blue, golden, and hazel eyes, but I was the only one with red. That made me an outcast to all angels. They all seem to act gleeful and nice around me, but boy am I wrong. To be honest, Angels are pretty ugly and revolting creatures. Well, most Angels anyways.
Along with the dress I wore, I had a brown belt that had golden marbles of big and small attached, a sky blue jacket, and wore gray flats. I'm finding an escape route from Sandy. She's my guide for reaching to the spot for Zeus's personal attendant, a spot every angel my age seems to aims for. I have not interest in such things. I only plan to be a regular angel, guiding souls to heaven. It was a simple job. Plus, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to have breaks from jobs. Normal angels call it a boring job, but I call it the best job ever!
"KELLY, WHERE ARE YOU!" Sandy sceamed. She was right under my branch now, but doesn't seem to notice me. Counting in my head, I zoomed off at the last count. I swooped down and began sprinting away, my wings still closed. Sandy saw and flew towards me on full speed. "Kelly! Get back here this instant!" she shouted again. I know that angels are fast when we fly straight, so I dashed in zig-zags. She was to straightforward and followed me in zig-zags. She was slowing down.
With this chance, I ran to the corner of the a building and flew up to the roof. I peeked down to see Sandy still flying to look for me. I snickered and walked away, my wings now hidden. I didn't like my wings out in the open. Who knows what might happen to it. I'm very self conscious of my wings like how mortals are self conscious of their appearance.
I jumped down and sneeked into the the the bushes. I could hear Sandy critisizing out loud about her leaving me behind, which was what I wanted from the beginning. She should've done that from the start.
Up ahead was the entry to Heaven. I went there, knowing the gatekeeper wasn't there anymore because of the meeting. I went to look at it, hoping no one was actually here. Unfortunately, there was, but not an angel nor human soul. It was a pack of devils breaking in. There were probably four or five of them.
I may be sneaking out of a meeting, but I'm not letting these idiots in here. I stealthily climbed the gold pillar, jumped over the gate, and landed on one of the Devils that was tinking with the lock. It was unexpected, but I pushed him off Heaven's territory thanks to my awesome landing. Wasn't what I intended to do, but I guess it's ok. One down, four to go.
"There goes our way to Heaven's gate." one of them said bluntly. The others growed at me. "And we found an angel, thanks a lot guys."
"Shut up, Dave. It's your shitty idea that got us into this mess!" the one beside him complained.
Normally, an angel would panic to see them, but I watched as they fought. This wasn't the first time I encountered with devils. When I was only 3, I accidenly killed one with Zeus' golden marbles. The rascal was planning to poison Zeus's drink, so I stopped it before it could cause a huge problem. Of course there was blood all over when Zeus was back, but no one suspected me since I was a baby and was in Zeus' chair, playing with his photoframe.
