David's body shook. An earslpitting scream let out throughout the hideout. I shot up from my chair. "What was that?" Melissa pointed at David's arms. All the blood that was imprinted on his bandages were all disappearing.
"What's happening? " Connor asked, his mouth full of bread. Noticed Kelly at the door, her head poking in. I saw tears on her face. I ran to her, but she stopped me halfway.
"Don't come near me!" she yelled. She turned to David with a smile, but her face also showed pain. "David, I'm sorry about before. You can take off the bandages now." she said and left. The others were a bit curious and took off the bandages.
They all had a horror-struck look on their faces. I got closer to see what happened. My jaw dropped when I saw all the cuts on his arms all healed. "How did she do that?"
Melissa and Fiona rushing to the door. They let out a little shriek. "Why's there blood on the ground?" Fiona said looking at me. "What did she do?"
I ran and saw a trail of blood leading to the the stairs. I followed it and stopped at Kelly's room. Melissa banged on the door. "Kelly! Open up, what's going on?"
A small voice came out. "Finish dinner first. Don't come in, unless you want an arrow shot through your skulls." I remembered her telling me about traps, but I didn't get it. Kaden came from behind me. "She places traps in her room for something. I don't know, but I almost got killed because of that."
"Oh," Fiona said, "That's what the sign meant."
I looked back at her room and went down to finished up fast so I could see what was going on with her. I almost choked on some lettuce, but I was saved thanks to Connor.
"Dude, no need to rush. She's not going anywhere. "
I nodded, not bothering to listen. When I was done, I went up stairs and knocked on her door. "Kelly, open I up, I'm done!"
A more faint voice called out, "Come in." I opened the door, stunned from what I saw. She was leaning on the wall, breathing heavy. Her arms were covered in blood, on the exact place as where the marks on David's arms were.
"WHAT ON EARTH? " I shouted. Everyone else rushed up to see the same thing I saw. The girls let out another shriek. They ran to get and emergency aid-kit and rushed to her aid.
"Kelly, what's going on?" David asked, helping the girls wrap bandages on her. She looked up at the ceiling. "I switched the damage we did on each other."
"What?" Kaden exclaimed. This was getting a bit weird. "Angels can't use those type of dark magic. How are you able to use that?"
She pointed at a golden marble under the table. I picked it up, still confused. "Kaden, smack Jacob's face."
"What?" I asked.
"Okay," he said, smaking me with pleasure.
"Ow! Is this some kind of joke?"
"Jacob, chant his name to the marble."
I did as I was asked and my face felt better.
"Ow!" Kaden yelled. I looked over at him. There was a handprint on his face.
She sighed. "And that's how I'm at this state."
"Kelly, how did you make these? I don't remember angels using dark magic. Not even the fallen can do that." Fiona exclaimed. Kelly winced at the pain of the alcohol on the injury.
"I learned it from Hephastus, when I was at his workshop. I read on how to be able to use magic without any thing, but these golden marbles." she said, tears continuing to drop from her fair skin. I felt like rushing to her, hugging her, calming her, but I remained still.
Melissa dabbed her eyes with a towel and propped her on the bed. I handed back her marble. She took it and threw it in a bag on the other side of the room. She snapped her fingers. Few small marbles from the bag floated out and began sucking up the blood off the floor. It came back few minutes later, formed as a needle. She held out her arm. It injected in her arm and broke apart as marbles again, returning back into the bag.
"What did it just do?" Conner asked curiously.
"My blood." She said like it's no big deal. We all looked at her like she was crazy. "FROM THE GROUND? WE HAVEN'T CLEANED IN MONTHS!"
*Kelly's POV
"Relax, these little guys only suck up my blood. Whatever is mixed in with the blood gets removed from it." I said, rolling my eyes. I stared at the wall. "Can you guys leave now? I need some time alone."
"You haven't eaten yet."
"I don't need to eat."
"How are you able to live?"
"I have snacks that are useful to those like me."
"But-"
I ignored them and layed down. I closed my eyes. Once they left. I got up and stood in the middle of the room. I snapped my fingers. My spirit that I've kept for years, along with others, appeared before me.
"Yes master?"
"Did he go safely?"
He nodded. I took off the bandages and held it out for him. He licked all the blood, absorbing all the energy within. As he did, my arms healed.
"Thank you for your generous offering master. " he said, and kissed me. He disappeared and was replaced by a golden marble. I picked it up and threw it in my bag. I went to the door. I felt a weird energy there. Sitting on the floor, pressing her ears on the door was..
