He Had A Girlfriend

A few days before my birthday, I decided to tell Chris how I felt about him. I didn't talk it over with Kyla but Kiyae said i should go for it to see if he felt the same way. More or less likely, he probably did.

It all started off when we were texting on the bus.

Chris: Morning.
Me: Gm.
Chris: How'd you sleep?
Me: Let's cut the small talk. I have a question and I want you to be completely honest with me.
Chris: Ok...what's up?
Me: I have a huge crush on you and I was wondering if you felt the same way bc I don't wanna sit here and continuously talk to you and flirt, if you don't like me. That's like leading me on.

I wasn't feeling it. My heart was beating fast. This is the first guy I've opened up to since my abusive relationship.

Chris: Look Lorén, you're a beautiful girl with a chill personality but I don't like you like that I didn't expect for you to like me. Don't worry you'll find someone who'll like you for you.

I couldn't even respond. I just sat there and stared at the message. I set myself up for a heartbreak. I should've asked Kyla first. But if I did, she would've told me to wait for him, in this case I would've been waiting a lifetime cause he didn't like me and I think I'm going to cry.

"Come on Lorén." Kiyae said pushing me to get up.

We got off the bus and walked to where Marquis and some dark dude was.

I clapped up Marquis and asked who his friend was.

"That's my cousin Maleek. Maleek thi-"

"I'm Lorén." I cut him off. He just nodded and went back to listening to his music.

"What's up witchu' ?" Marquis asked.

I shrugged and sat down. A few moments later I notice someone come up in front of me. It was Chris. Ugh I don't want to see him right now.

He clapped up Maleek, Marquis, Kiyae and stood in front of me. What does he want? A hug? That was exactly what he wanted.

Before I could get up Kyla walked up. Oh shit. I got up to give him a hug, and the asshole backed up. So I made a stank face and sat back down. You can't ask for a hug and then move when I'm trying to give you one.

He stared at me for a quick second and walked away. Did I make him mad? I looked around and everyone was looking at me.

"Lorén," Kyla said.

"Why did you do that?" Maleek asked.

"He moved when I tried to hug him, the hell was I supposed to do?"

"Pssssh," Maleek went back to touching on Kyla. I'm assuming they made up.

We went the whole day not talking to each other. The atmosphere felt weird. It was after lunch and time for 5th period. I stood with the crew on the wall and Chris came up. Everyone clapped each other up and was about to depart until he pulled me to him.

"What chu' want Chris," I said irritated.

"I love how I tried to give you a hug this morning and you sat down," he said. My ears began to get hot. That only happens when I'm upset, nervous, or embarrassed. I'm a little bit of all three.

"I tried to hug you and you backed away so I said fuck it," I said bluntly.

"I was giving you room to get up."

"Oh..Well I didn't know that."

"Mhm," he pushed my shoulder. I pushed his.

"You tryna' fight? Square up Lil nigga'."

"Man go to class jit."

I rolled my eyes and clapped everyone up and went to class. The rest of the day was boring as fizzuck.

It was after school I went home with Kiyae. She was on Instagram as always.
"Lorén.."

"Yo."

"I think you gon wanna see this."

I looked at her phone and it was a video of Chris and this big girl. They was kissing all up on each other and the caption was : My #wcw 😘💖 my girlfriend.

He. Had. A. Girlfriend. This whole time I'm thinking he's playing hard to get and he had a girlfriend. Wow. I'm a dumb bitch.

I made Kiyae like it just so he knew she seen it. I looked closely at the girl, and its the hoe from my middle school that I did not like. What is this? Ruin Lorén's Day today?
