Yeah, okay. So this is a book about me, Princess Arabella. Call me princess and I will cut you. I am the firstborn child of Queen Marcella of the Light. I am a Vessel. A Vessel is basically a superhuman. Each Vessel is born with a different talent, mine is hearing those I imprint on (my best friends and family can be heard from anywhere in the world if the call my name), but all of us have one power in common: the power to harness other souls. I'm what they call, a rebel. Vessel's should never be in a relationship with another Vessel. My boyfriend is the son of the General of the Light. He's not like me at all, I'm dangerous, he's just dorky. I am willing to kill a man and the only killing he does is in his dumb video games.
I'm hunting my father. I never knew him, Nora is the daughter of the King of the Light, who is known to me as John. My mother made a mistake when she was young and had me, but Vessel's have one downside: we cant have kids. She sold her soul to have me. The demon didn't collect until after Nora was born and my mother was married. After mom died, the kingdom wanted me to be Queen. I refused. My sister is now the queen and I am still the rebellious princess I always have been.
As a Vessel, I am given the Knife of Souls. This knife doesn't physically harm a person, but it cuts your soul. Once a soul is cut, it travels and latches onto the nearest Vessel.
I have harnessed three souls. Each one i have damned to Hell.
