Sans, Alisa, and Shadow all walked through the forest in silence. Alisa laced her fingers through Sans' boney ones as they walked, a look of determination on her face at the thought of finally fulfilling her promise.

Sans smiled at her and tightened his grip slightly. They couldn't teleport there since he had never been nor even seen the place. So, the three walked the path to the lab. It was a week walk and that's not including if they ran into trouble.

Alisa remembered what Alphys told her when they got their checkup...

_Flashback_

"A-Alisa? D-do you k-know that y-you a-are p-p-pregnant?" Alphys stuttered out and Alisa nodded.

"Yeah, magicians always get pregnant whenever they do stuff with their mate for the first time. Why, is there something wrong with the baby?" Alisa said worriedly, fearing for her unborn baby's life.

Alphys shook her head. "N-no it's j-just. B-because it is a h-hybrid b-baby, it w-will b-be b-born earlier t-than a n-normal h-human baby. A-also, it c-can be d-dangerous f-for you and t-the b-baby's health if you u-use too much m-magic." Alphys explained. Alisa nodded.

"Do you know when exactly the baby will be born?" Alisa asked. She had no actual clue on how long it would take for the baby to be born, it was frustrating.

"S-since I d-don't know h-how l-long skeletons a-are p-pregnant, if at a-all, it's h-hard to t-tell. T-though, j-judging by t-the g-growth rate, I w-would s-say you have a-about f-four m-months u-until the c-child is born." Alphys said and Alisa nodded. That meant they had a four month time limit to save everyone. Hopefully... they could do it.

"Babe, you okay?" Sans asked and Alisa nodded slightly. He wasn't convinced however. "Alisa, what's wrong?" He asked again, becoming serious.

Alisa sighed and looked at him. His skull was creased and he had a worried look on his face. "I'm scared still. I guess at least. Sans, the reason that us magicians were hidden away and trained and beat relentlessly was because they wanted us to go into the underground and kill everyone." She explained and Sans' eye sockets widened slightly.

"What? Why?" He asked and Alisa started to tear up slightly at the thought of killing her friends. It was something she couldn't do before, now she certainly couldn't.

"The leader, he despises monsters. He believed that they should all be wiped from the earth. If that ever happens... The world would end since magic would leave the earth." Alisa told him as more tears streamed down her face. "I couldn't stand the thought. Especially considering I know he's read my book and yet still wants to kill you all. Sans, I wouldn't be able to survive in a world without you all, even if we weren't mates. The reason I fell was on purpose, I knew they wouldn't send the others knowing I wouldn't help break the barrier and he wouldn't send anyone in after me. It was the perfect plan in the mind of a ten year old that had been abused most of her life. I'm so sorry for not telling you Sans. I was afraid you would hate me." She sobbed out.

Sans' enteral grin lessened into his version of a frown as he hugged Alisa to him. "There is no way I would ever hate you for something like that Alisa. I can understand what your talking about. When my brother and I were little, my dad would take me for experiments. Our father was the royal scientist and wanted to see if he could use science to get us to the surface. I wouldn't let him use Paps, so he used me instead for EVERY experiment. I lost so much hope that it brought my hp down to 1." He confessed. "Though when you came, that hope slowly came back and now I am way stronger with you around love." He added and Alisa buried her head into his jacket.

They stood there for a while, holding each other as Alisa cried into Sans' shoulder. They would let their weaknesses out now, for the true battle would begin soon and any weakness could be both of their downfalls...
