Chapter Two

Chapter 2 draft

"Alex?" I heard my name being called by my mum, who was leaving for work.

"Alex, there's a boy called Harry down here wanting to speak with you."

"Coming!" I sleepily yelled downstairs.

"Good morning, Alex." Harry said, dimples popping.

"Hi Harry." I replied, my voice laced in sleep.

"I'm off to work, Alex." My mum yelled on her way out the door.

"Bye mum!" I answered.

"Let me get dressed." I said, running up the stairs to my bedroom.

I decided since we were going to London, and it was only November, to wear my trench coat with a blue scarf, and my hair pulled into a tight ponytail, with a pair of navy converse.

"Ready?" Harry asked as I walked down the steps.

"Sure. Hold on." I grabbed my phone which was buzzing repeatedly.

"Hello?"

"Alex! What are you doing today?" Samuel asked me.

"I'm going to London with... A friend." I said, Harry raising his eyebrows.

"Who is it?"

"A friend from out of town. You don't know him."

"Oh," he replied, "See you tomorrow then?"

"Ok. Bye Samuel." I said.

He hung up.

Harry grinned when my attention returned to him.

"LET'S GO!" Harry yelled, excitement in his voice.

I laughed as I was tugged along by the curly headed cutie.

The ride was going to take around four hours, so I decided to make small talk.

"So who's your favourite band?"

"I think... Well, I don't have a favourite, but I like The Rolling Stones, Ramones, and The Beatles."

"I love all those! Well, I don't really know Ramones that well."

Harry gasped and turned on the radio.

I laughed, and he laughed as we listened to the music.

LATER...

"WOAH! London's crazy!" I said, stopping my walk. Harry smiled.

"Yep! Now let's get something to eat." He said pulling me to him.

I pulled my jacket around me, attempting to keep heat in. Harry pulled me under his arm.

I looked up, his green eyes staring ahead, and then at me.

"What?" He asked.

I blushed and shook my head, turning away.

We ate at a restaurant I had heard of, but never eaten at before: Nandos.

And let me tell you, it was fabulous. Harry and I talked a lot, and when we left, I was fully prepared to take on this city with Harry.

"Where do you want to go first?" Harry asked.

"Anywhere."

"Okay... I'll take you.... to Big Ben."

"Okay!" I said, pulling Harry along as I ran.
