___________________________Hi, my names Hannah. I'm 17 years old. I live with my mother in what most people would call 'a massive house' but, I'd rather live in a cardboard box then never see my mum. She's constantly working late or away on business trips. It never used to be this way when I was younger. My mum used to work for a small publishing agency. Never worked past 7 and was always home for dinner.
But when I turned 13 a world known company was hiring my mum applied not thinking they'd even give her CV a second look, but surprise surprise they called her in. I was happy for her at first, she never used to work too late, sure she missed dinner but she was there to tuck me into bed. A year later we were in a big house with a nanny named Cindy to take care of me in her absence... Which was all the time. I tried not to make a big deal out of it besides Cindy was nice.
When I turned 17 though I practically begged for my mum to let me have the house to myself. It was nice having company around but I really didn't need a nanny anymore. Besides I was moving to a new school and I didn't want anyone to think I was a baby. After about a month of constant begging, endless "pleasee" messages on her phone and perfect lady like behaviour she gave in.
Now with a week left till I start at my new school I feel more alone then ever. No one at home no friends to hang around with just my own company counting down the days till I go to school. Originally she was planning on sending me to a posh school but I convinced her out of it. There is no way I want to walk around a school full of stuck up girls complaining about their nails. I had enough trouble fitting in as it was. Instead I picked a school that couldn't be any more average. I just want to act normal.
