Hannah's POV
I had a strange feeling in my chest as soon as he walked out the door. I knew he would get tired of me eventually but I didn't think it would be seconds later. Tears started to form in the corners of my eyes. It wasn't just because Kieron, it was because I knew now that I was back to being lonely. Only though I'd only knew him a few days I liked the company. Even if we were just sitting in silence, just knowing someone was there was good enough.
I stayed on the sofa for what seamed like hours, tears silently streaming down my cheeks. I had an aching pain in my stomach which told me I needed to eat but I knew I had nothing. I really had to go out and get some shopping but I just didn't feel up for it. More time passed and I heard a small knock at the door. If I wasn't sitting approximately 10 foot from the door I wouldn't have heard it. I got up, wiped my eyes and headed for the door.
When I opened it I was met by Kieron's face. As soon as he looked up to my face his eyes shot open. It wouldn't surprise me if my eyes were bloodshot and puffy. I don't know how long we stood there staring at each other. Neither of us moved or spoke for a few minutes. He cleared his throat which caught my attention and I moved out the way silently giving him approval to enter my house. He gave me a small nod and entered the house.
He returned to the sofa where he was sitting before he left. I sat next to him. Neither of us spoke nor gave each other eye contact. The silence was driving me mad. A few more minutes passed and I couldn't take it no more, so I broke the silence. "Why did you come back?" I asked my voice barely above a whisper. He cleared his throat and turned his head to look at me. I could see that he was nervous and it confused me. "I think the better question is why were you crying?" When he spoke I could smell alcohol on his breath, the smell sent shivers down my spine as it reminded me about my dad. "I don't like being alone," my voice was shaking as I was fighting back the tears that were trying to seep through. He let out a sigh "I'm sorry," he stated, his voice laced with guilt. "It isn't your fault, It's mine. I push everyone away." I couldn't fight back the tears anymore. They started rushing down my face. His arm scooped round me and instantly pulled me to his chest. "Shhh, don't cry. It's not your fault. What you said, it hurt but I'm here for you. I promise," his voice was low and soothing. My head was resting on his shoulder while he was stroking my back. "You don't understand, I'll just push you away. Back in my old school I didn't talk to no one, I just kept myself to myself and it was better that way. I've got more issues then a magazine," I stated. He let out a small chuckle. "Don't worry about that darling, I ain't walking away again." He sent me a wink. A smile formed on my face and my heart started to warm. "Honestly, I'd just feel I'm putting you down most of the time," I stated looking at the floor trying not to make eye contact. "Look at me," his voice was bold and firm. When I didn't move he places his hand on my chin and raised my head so our eyes met. "I want to be here for you, don't you understand you're not like the other girls." I looked into his eyes and I couldn't see a any sign that he was lying. My mind was telling me that he was, but my heart was telling me to believe him. Before I could say anything my stomach started rumbling, my face flushed pink. "Do you want to go get something to eat?" I ask before my stomach decided to acknowledge its presence again.
He stood up and offered me his hand, which I happily took and with that we were out the door. When we got outside I let go of his hand and locked the door. "Where do you want to go?" He asked as we walked to my car. As soon as he said this I knew where I wanted to eat. "It's a surprise," I informed him while jumping in my car and slamming the door as soon as I was in. Kieron got in the passenger side and I started my engine and drove off. "Where are we going?" He asked. I gave him a small smile "it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you," I sent him a wink and he let out a chuckle I was quite surprised by my own actions. "Can I at least know how long it will take?" His voice was pleading. "Fine, we'll be there in 10 minutes, okay?" With that I turned on my music and Craig David filled my car.
